Well he was down in Supply WAY TOO much 20 Supply down. It's hard to hold on nearly even Supply but when you're down that much in Supply as well you're just dead . Xtreme could've gg'ed once he saw sC moving out.

For some time I've resisted the temptation to do this 1-1-1 build against Protoss, but the more Terran keeps winning, the more I want to try it on Ladder. Someone help me stop myself

And just think. There was a solid 2 rax before 10 supply build they had to nerf.

Does Wolf really believe the answer to the 1-1-1 is to one base the Terran back? Saying that Treme didn't scout well enough was also pretty face-palm worthy. If you see a ton of marines and 2 banshees tearing up your mineral lines you know exactly what's coming.

I smell a banshee build time nerf incoming. Which will kill every other build that involves them. I doubt that's the way to go. Yeah I don't think they would touch banshee build time since they are pretty balanced outside of this build. It seems like it's the combinations of a lot of high dps units that makes it so deadly. Something along the lines of a banshee HP nerf would seem more likely

Banshees just kill things too fast IMO... What if banshees did, instead of 12x2 dmg, something like 7+5 to light x2... that way stalkers might be able to do better? Or maybe a range nerf? 6 range banshees have always seemed a bit... awkward.

I wonder if zealot/stalker/immortal/voidray would work? ge the zealots near the marines so they take splash also and then use your 1-2 immortals to hit tanks while 1-2 vr's and stalkers deal with the banshees? I honestly can't think of anything else that would be ready in time, gotta scout it quick though so you don't over commit on sentries.

what evidence do you have for that? the protoss played very well in the first game despite having a major disadvantage that was a result of a build order loss.
not only that, but of course the oneoneone build is already infamous from a bunch of other examples. so...

You can tell who doesn't actually know how a 1-1-1 all-in and the suitable responses work by looking at who's going "Toss players need to not take that expansion! So greedy! L2P!"
|
Nextreme should have sent 1 or 2 immortals to flank the tanks but I am not sure if that have won the game, considering how much Sc still had left. I really hope Wolf will stop mentioning this fast collosus build it doesnt work at all. The banshees can focus fire the collosus pretty easily and you won't have thermal lance in time so the collosus is also very vunerable to siege tanks.

sigh... yes he may of scouted late but... are you really going to defend this all in? really?... stop... but i am glad i do believe sc is the better player, he didn't even need to do this op build to win.

If I was a P in GSL id just stargate all in every game. At least you have a chance. Oh wait, then they just switch up the build to vikings with marines and tanks and you still die

How come this build is suddenly getting so much attention when terrans have been doing it for, well, ever? Seriously. This build has been around since the beta. It was just as powerful then but Protoss players got so used to seeing it that they figured out ways to hold it. It was never patched then it won't be patched now. Wolf's right. Toss players have to start expecting it more and scouting before they put their nexus down.
If you dont put your nexus down, what are you going to do?
Terran can siege below your ramp and you are done.

Or maybe it's fine the way it is. Protoss deserve it for all the all ins they do to in PvT. Voidray warpin on high ground, 4gate, 6gate, proxies.

I'm not saying its impossible, but it seems to be quite vexing for protoss to deal with. is the solution 1 base play? I'd say that's sort of a devolution.
