Inaugural tournament is tonight guys! We got a ton of great 2v2 teams signed up and a bunch of GM players. You can check out whose signed up by going here.

Tournament starts at 8:30 PM EDT. If you are signed up, don't forget to check-in before the tournament starts! The check-in period will be open starting at 8:00 PM EDT. You must check-in in order to compete.

The broadcast starts at 10:00 PM EDT and should feature some epic 2v2 games. Don't forget to check it out!

EDIT: to clarify, BOTH players must check-in for each team.

Yup. Not 100% sure what it is right now.

I'm going to try to talk to orb after this match and see if we can figure out whats going on.

I doubt it's his computer because he streams 1v1 games in HQ without any issues whatsoever (including when it gets to 200/200 fights).

Hopefully we can get it fixed.

Streams issues have been fixed awhile ago btw. Forgot to update this thread

Unfortunately one of the players had internet problems. He disconnected from g1 immediately and hasn't been able to get his internet back up.

Sorry about the issues guys but we are going to have to delay the finals until tomorrow.

I'll update this thread tomorrow with a more specific time.

Other than that, week #1 went off without a hitch. Our finalists are:

it's GoSu (featuring Kyhol and bubbles)
BLAST (featuring clout and KobrA)

All 4 of them are either high masters or GM. So we should be in for an epic series.

Why can't there be a random masters 4v4 tournament? You really have to deal with brain dead people while working up to there >.<

Also, is there no entry fee? I'm not sure if I missed it

It's definitely there. May have just got lost in the tons of other events. But it should be much closer to the top now. Let me know if you still have trouble reaching it.

Problem with 4v4 tournaments is that there just isn't much depend for it. And competitive 4v4 is pretty much nonexistant anyways. We have 4v4 tournaments, but they're open to everyone just because it is meant to be for fun.

And no entry fee. Completely free for everyone

We're starting the broadcast an hour early at 01:00 GMT (+00:00) tonight to bring you the finals from the first weekly before we get to weekly #2!

Finals from week 1 will be a BO5 between:

BLAST: Clout and KobrA
It's GoSu: Kyhol and bubbles

If you're competing, be sure to check-in between 00:00 GMT (+00:00) and 00:30 GMT (+00:00). Tardiness may result in your team not getting in!

EDIT: I should add, right now I've limited it to 32 teams. There will almost definitely be a few teams that don't show up so don't hesitate to register. If enough teams sign up I will increase the limit to 64 teams.

This is a cool tournament and I enjoyed watching the games, thanks for putting it on.

My only complaint would be the gameplay in the VOD posted on Orb's page is pretty stuttery. It's not an internet issue IMO because his voice sounds fine.

Yea. We were having some stream issues for a few games last week. But it fixed itself later on in the cast. The last few rounds went perfectly smooth.

Check-in has begun for the weekly tonight. Make sure you check-in by 8:30 pm edt if you want to compete. Both you and your teammate must check-in!
