Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

If anything IPL is losing its interest.

Having no big name Koreans make IPL feel like a second rate amateur tournament (even though its production is so good).

Agreed. This MLG was so boring for me. Every second game had koreans with zero personality. I didn't see a single "omg epic" matchup like huk vs idra or something along those lines which MLG is famous for. Every day when I checked the matchlist upcoming for the day it just got more and more boring. I can't blame the koreans or the management because it would be unfair to not include them but...boy does it make events more boring for foreigner viewers. We already have gom...I'd like to see some foreigners play for once.

The skill gap between koreans and foreigners are getting bigger and bigger just like in BW.

Do you not care about the actual games?

No man, esports is all about that drama. Who cares what they're playing?

Exactly, lets all get fat and watch "professional" wrestling.

The first day that coca/byun/puzzle started streaming destiny was as well. Three code S guys had 1/2 the viewers of destiny combined.
people are more entertained by flamboyant personalities than they are by being good at the game.

I think that's a combo of their streams being relatively new and Destiny only being known for personality... in other situations/tourneys I think that's different.

"Every second game had koreans with zero personality." Just had to fit that in, huh? I guess every foreigner has shown amazing/unique personality!

And don't forget how boring Boxer vs MMA was. Definitely not "omg epic" quality!

Just woke up to see the results and can't say that im surprised! Really great event!! So many fun games, and interesting stories this tournament. But i have to say that the korean dominance actually ruins the excitement for me.

I do think that the Korean domination went a little too far this time. I'm the biggest Korean fanboy, but even I felt a little empty after seeing Huk and Naniwa get stomped. I was happy, but felt some conflicting disappointment in the foreigners as well. I can't imagine what the foreigner fanboys are feeling after this tournament, lol.

Either way, my boy MVP won, so hellz yeah!

Man, Korean domination finishing 1st - 6th. Didn't get a chance to watch today but glad HuK finished in the top 10. 5 out of the top 6 being terran is also pretty interesting. Regardless, thank you MLG for a great tournament!

Of course it's disappointing, but people need to look past their preferred players losing and take notice of the fantastic games featuring other players.

I didn't tune into MLG this weekend hoping for MVP to win, or any top 6 Korean domination to take place, but I enjoyed almost every second of the ride because the players that I did get to follow put up absolutely incredible games.

Maybe I'm thinking too rationally though. Not everyone can look at StarCraft as StarCraft and be grateful for what we're watching 95% of the time. That being said, I better see HuK, Nani, IdrA, and Ret smashing through the competition at the next MLG.

Ah well not exactly an outrageous prediction now is it? Huk and Sen are the only non-Koreans right now who can stand reliably stand toe to toe with top Koreans in a BoX. Idra could too if he hadn't left Korea, but he did and it's showing. Hopefully Naniwa, Thorzain, Fenix, Sase, QXC and Moonan take their games to the next level after their Korea excursion.
