Beating the Code A champion via custom game on the KR server (meaning Destiny has the lag so no qq there) is quite an accomplishment I would say.

QFT. I've never watched his stream yet I keep running into stuff about him, reddit starcraft should probably rename itself to destinycraft. Then he beats some Koreans in friendly matches and is suddenly the best player ever, come on. No other player gets this kind of hype without actual tournament results, its just blind fanboyism.
While fans are the worst part, I really didn't care for Destiny himself either when he was on SOTG and other stuff.

The funny part is, Destiny is overall a cool dude and a great player. He's not as consistently amazing as Nestea or Naniwa, but why rag on him for that?

You don't know that, maybe he can't but maybe he can qualify and win/compete in Code A, what makes you think that you can say he can't, he hasn't had tournament results, but he also wasn't "this good" last MLG, he plays 8-12 hrs a day, playing a bunch of pretty good koreans in customs on the KOREAN server, and winning, people people would say huk was bad for how he seemed to preform in tournaments, and look, he wins 2 huge ones in a row. Huk won the first MLG, he always had tournament results. Maybe not Code S tip top results but far more than Destiny has.

I'd say his lack of tournament results pretty much say he wouldn't be able to qualify for code A. It's not like ladder means much some players don't put much effort into ladder or they're just trying out new things. People aren't blinded by anything, the fan boys are just annoying with how they hype Destiny as being anywhere near to as close as good as Nestea, Losira, Sen, etc.

I'd say it's more like the insane amount of difficulty and harshness of the tournament in general is what would stop him from qualifying for Code A... if he were in Korea and could compete. However, asking "who could qualify for code A" isn't a good measuring stick. HuK couldn't qualify for code A and now he's code S. He had to actually be placed in code A. Barely any foreigners were getting past the qualifiers which is why they had to have special placements and then later the MLG/GSL exchange, because the code A qualification is really fucking hard.

Passing though Coda A is about being a consistantly good player with stamina.
Passing Code S matches is about preparation for one opponent and matchup.
I am a destiny fan, and he is not consistent. It's why he never goes super far in tourneys. He will have a few amazing games then fall to someone randomly because his play is not refined yet. That will take many more months for him to fix.

Good opponent for Destiny to start off with. Rain was pretty bad except for TvT where he was decent. Now that Rain is no longer practicing with Koreans he'll be easy fodder for Destiny.
