Erm, what? Sure, you can compete just "for fun" but then you're not in a super competitive environment such as GMs who might be competing for thousands of dollars. There should never be a situation where a gold person feels a ton is on the line for a win. By no means are these tournaments giving this feeling, I was just responding to his comment.

lol. I never said you'd have to cater to professional players, professional players wouldn't enter with those prize pools anyways. All I was saying was I think it's silly to reward players who don't give a shit about the game, and to punish players who take the time to invest in it. That's exactly what you're doing. And there's no low-mid level masters professional players. In fact, there aren't very many high level masters professional players. And to continue, being part of a team and still getting NO pay means you're still not doing it as a profession. There are so many talented players that don't make shit, I just think it's sad people decide to dedicate prize pools to players that have zero investment in the game.

Well I don't qualify for most of the tournies anyways^^. It's not a ridiculous assumption, it's exactly what you're doing... regardless, I think we can agree to disagree. And I don't mean for any hostilities, just giving my feedback. Best of luck with your endeavors.

Tournament system is awesome. its great to have a tournament every day. only thing that sucks is 1 player (SixJaxDDE) enters every goddamn tournament so most people never get a chance to win =*(

Tournaments are great. It even gives the lower rank gamers a feeling of what it feels to be in a tournament. Tournaments are very well executed and there's always an admin to help you if you encounter a problem. It's free, you can win money and prizes. Give it a try!

These tournaments are a lot of fun! It allows the lower leagues to still feel like they're competing competitively! I'll be signing up numerous times a week from here on out!

Well.. I have been on this site for a while and I do agree that it is kinda weird that if I was slightly worst making me high diamond rather than master I would be winning more tournaments lol..
Although I haven't won any money tournaments I have won some bonus point tournaments which is pretty nice still lol. I have a good amount of points now and waiting for SC2 to be put up on the point auction again to see if I can get one so I can offrace on it. It is also pretty fun just competing in the money tournaments even though I don't have much of a chance because.. just competing with people who play tournaments is more fun than playing on ladder. Its the same thing as people playing in bigger tournaments in other places that they have no chance at winning because pros will beat them (TL open for example).. but the experience is still pretty fun. Like.. without this site I wouldnt have played dde 3+ times and hwangsin 2 times.
The other thing I like about the site though is the head to head system where you can bet points against other players.. I am always looking for people to custom against and since there is an incentive to playing head to heads its even better lol.. Without the head to head system I would still be playing customs vs people.. so I get to play people + get points to get things.
