Once you create a Playhem account and add starcraft2 under Manage Games with your profile url and character code, you're ready to play. You can challenge players on the head to head page or join and create tournaments on the tournament page.

Congrats to yesterday's winners! I added a Previous Winners spoiler to the first post of this thread.

Tonight's $100 Master/GM Tournament still has a lot of slots so if anyone isn't signed up yet and would like to play, make sure you get in there =D

Congrats to RGNPerfect for winning the $100 Master/Grandmaster tournament today! Make sure you guys vote on the poll in the bottom of the first post =)

I also wanted to address something else from tonight. CombatEX and Deezer were both banned and the situation was handled poorly on my part. I had originally decided to let them play because I wanted to give them a chance in our tournaments despite having bad reputations, but as the tournament progressed I realized it was a bad idea. CombatEX had actually went out in the first round but Deezer was in the semi-final when his opponent told me that he was saying some very obnoxious/unreasonable bm stuff to him. That combined with the fact that no player would agree to let us cast their games vs Deezer due to his reputation of stream cheating made my decision to ban him final.

I know some people seemed a little bit upset either by the end result or by how I handled it and I apologize if you were one of them. I'm just much more comfortable with banning 1 or 2 guys that are known for stream cheating and being extremely bm than I am letting them participate and having a mass of users not wanting to play in our tournaments because of them. That being said though, it could have been handled better and hopefully if anything similar does happen in the future, it will be handled better.

i fully support your decision neeb! the difference between playhem and most of the tournies around is that you guys in the staff really think about the players, doing tournies for lower leagues and stuff like that. its pretty clear that people with such reputation won't attract anything but bad stuff for the site!

Playhem is just awesome. They sponsored a BO7 show match between CatZ and DDE with a $100 prize pool. http://www.youtube.com/user/StimTV#p/u/3/Eiz_YUCJE9c is the first game between them
Getting points for playing your favorite game? And maybe getting paid for it? What else could you ask for (well besides just giving you money for not doing anything)?

Ok I'll tell you what really happened,

I never did talkshit skew even thought GGLASTSHADOW was playing on his account, I just said he should get DQ'd for it. After the game I watched 3 replays of lastshadow, was the same exact build order and the same hotkeys. I tried to contact an admin about it and he never answered, and he told me I was banned without giving me a reason.

I wasted 2 hours for this tournament to just get banned and I did nothing wrong.

Also I do not stream cheat, I only snipe, it is completely different.

Deezer is known for stream sniping not stream cheating. If you're going to make a judgement call make sure you know your shit first.

I agree 100%, it really was handled poorly and I apologize.

At the end of the day, I'm always going to stand by my decision. Like I said, I would much rather ban 1 person to keep the integrity of our tournaments than let them play and have many users lose interest. It was mishandled on my part and I do apologize for that but I'm really not sure what else I can say about it.

Playhem is becoming one of my favorite tournaments. Small dailys during the week when there is often nothing else, full blown cups on the weekends and an awesome reporting system. keep up the good work.

It seems like most players prefer daily tournaments so unless there's a significant change to the poll results in the next few days, that's what we'll be going with starting next week.

At the bottom of the first post there's a new poll for which prize distribution type you guys think is best. Let us know and we'll make it happen =D
