he 3 gate vr and i held it pretty well got lucky a few times killed off the vrs and then he had to cancel his natural at one pt just really a bunch of lucky stuff went my way.

I doubt all the "best foreigners" have been actually competing in the TLOpen. The only really notable ones here are Major, Nerchio, and Ret.

Mana, Lalush, Strelok, Goody, Machine, Lowely, DeMuslim, Grubby.

He was top-tier during that period as well. It was the issue that left him out of the "best Korean zerg" talk but he was still above the rest.

The only one I forgot is Strelok. None of the others are on the level of Naniwa or Nerchio when it comes to consistently winning against the best.

Nerchio is the favorite to win IMO. It doesn't guarantee him the win either, just like the favorites in the GSL.
