Hey guys - These games are meant to be fun and for your entertainment. Caster and Player bashing will not be tolerated. Manner please!
Also, this is a Live Report thread - not the place to discuss your displeasure with the event or any of the people involved with it. |

This whole weekend has had the stench of some leftovers from GSL. Player intro vids ... which have gone stale and now last 30 mins each. Musical acts before the finals ... which now last an hour and won't include cute Kpop ass. There's no need to imitate the Koreans, especially if you're going to do it wrong.
An hour long opening ceremony... This isn't the olympics. An hour break in the middle of the schedule for ... absolutely no reason? Why?! This just seems like deliberate time wasting to ensure that only NA viewers can tune in. The final (if on time, which isn't guaranteed) only starts at 2AM here. If all the planned events lasted reasonable amounts of time the final could easily start at 11PM for EU. The only explanation I can think of is that they're trying to get more VOD sales from Euros, but they have to know that, that isn't going to happen. It's overpriced.
I am dumbfounded. You don't need to watch the fluff, you know?
Just let them do their opening ceremony and musical acts. You can just tune in for the games if that's what you' want to see (I know I will do exactly that).

It's pretty weird why you would fuck over EU when there's only 2 sets for the day.

I wanna watch that players intro video so bad, isn't that in Youtube or something?

I think it's because they are trying so hard to be like the Korean events but they don't have the budget or experience to do it.

11 for EU translates into 2 in the afternoon for the west coast and 5 for the east coast. In what universe do people actually think they'd do that?

On July 10 2011 23:16 Ashworth wrote: Why the fuck is the schedule so bad? MLGs was perfect and the final for NASL starts at 3 AM cest...
It's possible for the two biggest viewerbases to watch this live at a reasonable time ffs... Well, being's as this is in North America, in california, I think it makes sense to start it at 12:00. It would be a bit silly for them to start it @ 6:00 and have a tourny for all the people that have to wake up EXTREMELY early to go watch then 4hrs later say "goodbye have fun at the morning afterparties, when you can't even consume/buy liquor!"
EDIT : Times

As one of the most vocal critics of NASL fuckups in the other LR threads, I really feel that some of you guys are just complaining for the sake of complaining right now.
The schedule is shit - yes, same as yesterday. Opening ceremony and musical acts - yes, known for fucking weeks now and voluntary. shitty times for europeans - better than yesterday and the day before. sleep ahead of schedule during the oc and music and you're fresh for the games 30 minute intro videos - get a watch, please. they're 5-7 minutes max.

They did it like this because these are the best times for North Americans. I'd love for the GSL to start nine hours earlier, but what can you do No I dont think you really get this one. The major audience for NASL comes from 2 fronts: America and Europe. And other organizations such as MLG realise this, despite them being America-based, which is why the important matches are at an Europe-appropriate time.
The GSL purposely starts at a time when most Koreans are back from work, but also when Europeans are awake and Americans are not 100% asleep yet.

It's a Sunday. It's far more beneficial to get most of both audiences than just get one. eSports is global. You don't get massive numbers by not being global.

People are complaining since the whole weekend has been like this when it doesn't have to be. There's no reason to include so much fluff. They could have made all the games bo7 with the amount of fluff they included.

Isnt it kinda normal to have the finals played in the afternoon/evening local time? You cant expect the NASL to schedule the finals for 10am local time
|
if Temp0 sings "Thank you Day[9]" then it will make the whole NASL event a success.

Theres alot of things to consider about PuMa vs MC.
1. They have never played a long BoX series in SC2. 2. MC has shown that as bossly as he is, his PvT seems slightly behind his PvP and PvZ. 3. PuMa has shown that he can handle crisis management, very precise timing, and great decision making. 4. MC has stated that he didn't want to face PuMa because even he thinks PuMa is beastly. 5. PuMa has had issues with nerves, and if theres any opponent in the world that will put your nerves racking, its MC.
Im scared for MC. But I am going to say I believe MC will take this, unless PuMa does 1 and 2 base timings every match MC will deliver. MC has nerves of steal, has been taking money like candy, and his overall experience in SC2 will deliver here. He has lost 1 Bo7 in his entire career, and in Bo5's his stats are sick.
Lets hop Poltimus doesn't give PuMa a call, because that could be bad news Obama-Toss Fighting. 4-2 to oGsMC.

The finals would be 3 pm and it still be reasonable. Firstly stop exaggerating and making things up, secondly understand that it isn't beneficial to alienate almost 50% of their audience.

Cut the break and set it back 1 hour. ??? Profit
I'll probably pull an all nighter and be a zombie at work tomorrow anyways.

On top of this, Puma hasn't really won any prize money before in SC2. I think Puma is more content with $25k that MC, who has won like 175k now.

Edit: I'm pretty sure that this is off-topic, but I'd like to think that Gentleman was better than IrOn at BW.After all, he was Flash's sparring partner. Never underestimate the suicidetoss. MBC FIGHTING! Also his Kara Mister dance (butt dance) is legendary- he was the team's ace on Hyungjoon becomes a progamer.
So I see your BW story and raise with these random ones.
I want revenge for Nal_ra, why isn't anyone doing it for him.

I like Puma, and I think I saw everyone of his games that are available, but yesterday against squirtle he was not reassuring...I fear he'll get stomped, he's not Bomber yet. But he's pretty good don't get me wrong, more than pretty good in fact.
Btw, pinnacle odds are appealing for tonight. July 1.877 Sen 1.980 Puma +1.5 1.694 2.360 MC -1.5 2.230 1.625
I took Sen, MC-1.5 and MC dry (with a bet to cover the -1.5)
