See dreamhack where sen got rolled by them and MC has best in the world. His gateway rushes are safest build he can do but I think he got too much heat for it so he's playing macro more.

He beats a bunch of master's league foreigners, one decent foreigner (Ret), a couple of his team members, Squirtle (someone that cant get through round 1 in code A) and July (who is undoubtedly in a slump lately). Now he is guaranteed to get payed approximately as much as a GSL winner and if he beats MC a lot more than that. Bottom line = expect Koreans to flood the "foreigner" scene Many problems with this comment, people that say "struggled to make it through Code A/is Code B" as if it makes them a terrible player still are obviously pretty unaware of what they're talking about. Puma has beaten seed #1, #8 and #10 pretty easily, only really struggling against Squirtle(the Code B "cant get through round 1 in code A" player xD). What makes you think he wouldn't of qualified if he played in the regular season anyway(which, by the way was impossible to occur due to the "qualification" for season 1 essentially being a popularity contest and he was essentially unknown to most people)? The open tournament idea isn't new, people have known about it since the tournament was announced - noone complained back then. GSL 1st place regular season is about the same as 1st place NASL, give or take a little bit depending on exchange rate.

Good point, PuMa deserves every dollar he wins imo

Though sometimes he does indeed show his anger, like in the Code S Group H elimination where he ended up eliminating oGsInca, because TSL_aLive put him (Inca) in this group. After that last game between MC and aLive, MC walked up to his booth and dissed him for that. u mean kyrix, alive got owned by huk, damn this guy has to be the most embarrassed player in the korean community right now, getting outclassed by Huk and losing to Darkforce within a few.

I definitely wouldn't say that "it works." There are probably a dozen+ players from the open bracket who are just as good as, if not better than, most of the players that made playoffs. The fact that we only see 2 of those players while 14 made it through from a invitational battle of attention spans pretty much guarantees an open player will do well. Look at tournaments like TSL3 and the few recent MLGs. Players who make it through the open bracket systems end up dominating almost every player that was invited. The only times when open players do poorly is when the open qualified get matched up against each other or they are disadvantaged when they finally get to the REAL competition (MLG).

I feel so bad for Sen, game 4 is going to haunt him for a long time. I just hope that, when the Koreans>Foreigners talk starts, people remember how he was a few less broodlords away from knocking out one of the greatest Koreans. I wonder what he'll be doing this summer, presumably he's on a break till the next school year starts, so will we see him at MLG, or maybe trying to qualify for code a? Also what happened with Sen and the mengst statue?

Also what happened with Sen and the mengst statue? He attacked it in game 5 with his brood lords It really didn't matter, DT killed 2 of his bases, and MC army killed his gold. His main was mined out. He had his natural + third vs MC's 3 base, taking the gold. He was also down on supply, with only a few (like 6?) brood lords, just to spend his banked 2k gas. He was dead already.

He trains as hard as they do... that is why he can compete. Because this stems from an argument long ago when people were saying there are zero good foreign players. People would use SelecT as an example of a strong foreign Terran when HE is Korean but living/training in North America. Foreigners would argue that because SelecT trains in NA, he is considered a NA Terran. At the same time, people back then tossed HuK under a bus and attributed him as an example of how "the Korean training system doesn't always guarantee superiority", since HuK was performing badly in Korea. I called it long ago that if HuK ever started winning anything, that foreigners would soon classify him as a foreigner again. Now that HuK is showing success through two recent championships, people are being hypocrites and are warmly embracing HuK as a "foreigner" again. It's so ridiculous AND sad how DESPERATE foreigners are to have a "foreign champion". If foreigners consider SelecT a NA Terran, and that was something foreigners on this forum no longer wanted to argue and wanted to set it in stone, then HuK by that logic is Korean, and this topic should no longer be revisited.

shows that mc and sen went 2-2 and then doesnt give a winner or even a map of the last game. and then it doesnt tell you which 2 are advancing in the spoiler bit below it. Is the ONLY way to watch these games now if you pay and watch on nasl.tv? no rebroadcast or anything?

Part 2, I just noticed, is somewhat inconspicuously displayed on the same screen as a URL you can copy, but it took me like 4 looks to finally find that. Or it's displayed at the end of part 1 at the end screen. The problem is that it's hard to find ^^.
