Okay I believe this is the format. There are basically 3 groups of 5 people with the top 2 qualifying from each group. Which leaves room for 1 code S for MLG winner and 1 Code S for Code A winner.

MVP coming second is actually a blessing in disguise.
It means that he won't meet NesTea until the finals.

Different up/down format.15 players in up/down...6 come out..winner of code A...Foreign winner of MLG = 8 moving up.
The up/down is 3 groups of 5 with 2 moving on from each group.

sC is doing fine, byun was always a great Terran but him and his team Zenex were on a huge slump, this season they're doing extremely well for some reason.

Up & Down matches are three 5 player groups (15 players total)
bottom 8 of Code S, places 2-8 from Code A (7 players).
top 2 from each group attain/retain Code S (6 total) and are joined by the winner of Code A and the winner of the latest MLG.

Well another overconfidend player that diged his own grave for this season. Next time you are in a good picking spot. Think with you head and not with your confidence.

8 players drop, 6 advance, making space for 2 players--MLG winner and Code A winner.

Even if he won, they wouldn't beat until the finals. This is the opposite bracket.

Depends on your view on it. The better player wins, not the person who you THINK is the better player

Remember Starcraft when it was in its infant stages? I can't wait to see sc2 a few years from now...

In comparison to top level yea. Unless that Happy is the IM player and not the mundane 1-build euro happy who farms masters players at 4am every night for points and floats 2k minerals every fight because he thinks hes still playing wc3? Also thestc just isn't that good but to be fair hes been away for a while so need to give him time

8 groups in Code S 4th place goes to Up/Down + 7 people from CODE A Code A Winner auto code S.

Nope, if MVP came in first, he would be in NesTea's side, and thus would meet him in the Ro4.

Guess SC regrets picking MVP now...Leaving his chances up to a single BO1 means things like this can end up happening.

LOL haha well played.
I love to see Zenio doing well, I've always liked his a bit crazy playstyle.

Okay thanks guys for the explanation. Maybe I should've read that they completely revamped the up&down matches.
