For everyone saying wtf July why'd you attack - he had to. He was on pretty much 1 mining base whereas Nestea still had ~3. He had the army advantage, but was going to get overrun if he waited too long. He needed to take out some fresh expos from Nestea, and he would've done so if Nestea didn't move all his spine crawlers. If he tried to attack a farther expo, Nestea would've been able to stall with the spines already at those expos long enough for Nestea to overrun him. It was pretty much a lose lose situation at that point.

Actually, that is for these kind of things that makes Nestea a genius.
He know he was going to mutas and ultras, very expensive gas units, but low larvae cost.
What then can you do with larvae and minerals ? Drones and spines.

Simple, but amazing, especially considering July's playstyle.

july's army was roach +ultra +infestors at around 180 food.
Nestea's army was lings+infestors+ultras+ SPINE CRAWLERSSSSSS (I seriously think he was planning to move the spines forward after he 'defended' july's last push.)

Perfect explanation for the situation.

His mutas enabled him to be much more greedy in a big map. I think this was what he was going for vs Cezzane (sp?) in Taldarim Altar at Super tourney round of 64. But the nydus ruined it.

Yes, the format unfortunately gives Tester and NesTea a free win over Rain but doesn't give July one (due to how the group drawing went). It'll really be a travesty if that happens ><

NesTae made a ton of spines, July had more drones at the end. He was in the lead.

SO? he didn't have larva so nestea could finish him off easily, bad decision from JUly, but he wasn;t in the lead

yea its ridiculous, gom changed the rules so winner is playing against winner but not the loser of another set this season
