Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.

Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage.

Were watching the finals live at the stage.

Between set 4 and 5. MC came running down the stairs jump up on the stage and wanted to eagerly talk to huk. Talked to him for a breif 15 seconds or so before the tournament crew asked him to leave the scene. Anyone have ANY idea what was beeing said there?

Didnt huk scout extremly early set 5?

I have no idea why there is so much day9 bashing in this thread. I felt he was incredible as usual. He provides a continuous stream of information that assists the couple of people who watch it with me who aren't experts at the game, while providing appropriate excitement and enthusiasm at all times.

Not really, scouting after 9 pylon on a map like Taldarim vs a Z is the way to go...

I hope, HuK will stream some. He either doesn't stream much anymore, or when I am not online. Watching vodded laddergames is just so meh.

If you are 100% confident you will always defeat a player with a standard opening and are 1 win away from taking $16,000 then you perform a standard opening.

its unfortunate that Day[9] was basically a caricature of himself at DreamHack.
he should watch Artosis and his brother and do like them.
when Day[9] describes a secret proxy or some hidden tech he hushes his voice as though some golf pro is trying to sink a 50 foot putt to win the US Open. its a bit much.
maybe we was just having a bad weekend.

it would be nice if as these events increase in profitability and paid attendance levels they would pay the casters for longer preparation time.

What exactly is Tastosis doing that's so different? Especially Artosis has a very similar casting style. He was a bit over excited in certain games but other than that he was like he usually is.

Amazing... this is the confirmation of pretty much everything that's been said about korean-foreigner "race". If foreigners dedicate themselves to the game as much as koreans, they can beat them fair and square. I don't know why people keep believing the opposite. Also, the story behind a foreigner winning a korean-dominated foreigner LAN is amazing, which is part of the reason why inviting koreans is so good for these tourneys.

Congratulations HuK!!!

I had problems with the sudden shouting this time around. I'm sort of without a set of headsets for awhile now and most of the time it's too soft to hear, then all of a sudden he'll shout and it'll be pretty loud. I blame the mics though.

Also he seemed to be off his game with the observing, missing a lot of big fights and having to have dApollo alerting him of a lot of things.

Just one bad event for him though. Otherwise he's alright.

Don't usually need to credit Day9 but it seems there is some discussion so I just wanted to add another positive opinion. For me Day9 was awesome as usual, his excitement makes the games better and I had no problems with volume or anything like that.

I feel like Day9 is almost patronising me at times when he casts at events. I'd much rather he was just himself. I understand he's trying to be professional, but people (or at least I) love him for the person he is on his dailies and I think he has some more room to be himself without losing the professionalism. Tastosis are always 100% themselves — maybe sometimes it's a bit much for some people, but it's genuine and I like it.

Note: I know it's totally not Day9's intention, it's just the way it comes across sometimes. I know he's just being professional and I have nothing but respect for him.

Artosis is 100% real/sincere, day9 is a bit real and a bit fake, tho i suppose that's just the feeling i get.

Tho i can still appreciate day9 and i also liked apollo.

Anyways hope moon won't be underrated anymore now, amazing run for him imo... he will only be more imba the longer he sticks with sc2 .

Day[9] was not the observer. He told us that their observer missed a couple of things.

Day9 is nearly all play by play all the time these days, trying to make everything as exciting as possible. Doesn't really take a step back to give us a rundown of what players are going for and what we can expect from the game unlike Artosis who's style these days is to talk about random things until there is anything interesting to talk about in the game.

Day9 at Dreamhack was a bit like an overly loud, audio compressed record of pop music. Would prefer it if he finds a better balance between trying to make everything exciting and his usual style when he is analyzing games.
