But you know..protoss should be winning tournaments. Zerg wasn't built to win tournaments.
Huks won more money today than IdrA ever has combined.
Yeah, 15000$ for a single-elimination tourney really blows my mind, what was DH thinking....
More like what is MLG thinking... 5k top prize, it's stupid, halo's is 21k but granted it's a team game but still, individuals should win more, and the games should have the same prize pools
I heard that $5k is the most amount of money a tournament can give out as a single prize before having to deal with the Blizzard bureaucracy.
Why only $5,000 for Season 1? $5,000 is the maximum you can give as prize money before you have to jump a bunch of hoops with Blizzard. We're working with Blizzard in regards to our future events but for now, for our test run, we're just working with that amount. Also, not to say that $5,000 is an insignificant amount, but our future events will significantly eclipse that mark.
Anyways, my analysis of the results (since I slept through the entire event lol and didnt see any of the matches): Moon is pretty good despite being a "mediocre" Korean, even beating out Bomber. Bomber is friggin scary as a player, tearing apart July and MC. I look forward to his GSL matches. Huk is a pretty good player. He is going to have tons of fun once he gets back to the oGs house.
Huk, you pimp. Congratulations! You fricken deserve it. Ride that title wave all the way to a GSL win baby...you are absolutely good enough to win that!

....who are you man? Are you on the council of esports professional conduct? I hate to single you out, but there's just an incessant amount of people thinking they know what is/is not unprofessional and are just clearly wrong, lack a complete intelligent basis, and downright fucking dumb.
The guy is a caster. His job is to make the game entertaining for viewers. His yelling and screaming brings excitement to your average spectator. Obviously not the stiff armchair admiral such as yourself.
Second, wasn't the spectating area/tent only for spectators and casters? I believe the players played in a different building altogether, so there was no possibility to hear him scream 6 pool.
But in any event, if calls from the casters can be heard by the players, it is not on the caster to withhold making/screaming calls on the game; the tourney organizers should make accommodations.
Grats to Huk well deserving win. While others whine about koreans taking all the money Huk is out busting his balls practicing with ogs. To be the best you have to play with the best. Glad to see hard work pay off once again like it did for Jinro in the early GSL's.
