Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.

Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage.

Your right , but considering he is the only foreigner currently in Code S, this alone is evidence. Even if these finals were a bit wonky, he did take out July 2-0 and yesterday took out moon 2-0 in group play, in strait up normal games.

Can we stop focusing this thread on Koreans vs Foreigners? Huk won and he's an individual player. It's awesome to see Koreans and foreigners alike cheering on Huk after his victory. Kudos to moon too for an awesome show at Dreamhack.

In case you didn't notice, Huk was playing against a guy who beat Bomber.

I can't wait for korean reactions though, always fun to read and I've had the feeling Moon's a bit unappreciated there, as well as in europe/america.

Huk did not prove that foreigners are good at this game. He proved that foreigners can get good through korean training. How are so many people blinded by that fact?

A vocal minority argues that foreigners cannot be as good as koreans, ever. Even with korean training. Therefore this proves them wrong.

That's pretty much...blatant racism. I've never heard anyone say that, at all.

Where've you been since last summer?

I don't think anyone's argument include a genetic disposition to Korean peoples (and peoples with that heritage) when it comes to manipulating a mouse or a keyboard.

I think the point that original point made is valid. HuK, after living under the style of a Korean pro-house, is much better than people who haven't. This has nothing to do with his race, and the argument has never been that. It's always been foreigners vs Koreans in terms of work-ethic, culture of e-sports, and various other non racial things. Anyone who thinks it's simply because they're of Korean decent that they have better skills is just ignorant and uniformed.

Moon beat Bomber. HuK beat Moon.

HuK won a championship with Idra, MC, Bomber, July, Moon and a lot of Liquid players. That IS impressive regardless of who of these he beat in the finals.

A beats B, B beats C

A doesn't beat C

That's not how Starcraft works.

The outcomes of this tourney would have been drastically different with different bracket draws by day/apollo. (like if Huk had MC -> bomber)

SC2 has not reached a point yet where good players win consistently.

This isn't very true. I see the point you're trying to make, I just disagree with it.

I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.
