Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.

Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage.

i didn't want to say anything before, but bomber was hugely disappointing in this tournament.

i didn't see anything special. he's like julyzerg but terran. very aggressive and solid play, but so risky and cocky - cheese/hidden expo etc. consistantly disappointing even from his first group match, definitely not deserving of winning the tournament.

mana and happy could have beaten him in the group stages with a bit of luck.

You have got to be kidding me.

Is that why all the korean players in GSL are so scared of him?

Give me a break.

We are not at the GSL, this is DreamHack. And if you watched all of his games, he did not impress that much.

There is this series and about maybe 2 additional games he underperformed.

Are you seriously going to argue me with me that players at dreamhack are at the same level

as those at gsl?

One of the most impressive performances in this DH that I've seen so far was the COMPLETE and UTTER domination of HasuObs by Bomber... Go watch that if you don't think Bomber has not been impressive.

They have already improved As far as i remember last Dreamhack(winter) had BO1 in group stages. That was pretty hilarious.

Bo3 Semi-Finals is inexcusable imo

Can you think of another big tournament that has only BO3?

There you have 2 before you are completely wiped out, which kind of makes up for it.

But losing 2 games to dumb Zerg cheeses and then not being able to show off one of the best TvPs in the world is pretty disappointing (He took out fucking MC....)

Why on earth are the semi-finals best of 3?

Seriously, Moon completely outclassed Bomber on Game 3, brillant play.

When will be the finals?

Moon flipped a coin and it paid off in this case. Not to take too much away from moon, he still executed very well, but to say Bomber was outclassed is a little ridiculous.

Moon was also a B-teamer on Wemade Fox in BW, so he certainly was a gosu at BW.

mind=blown

he wasn't a b-teamer he just participated in the in-house ranking games.

adding to that his winrate was 30%... which was the worst out of the player pool, but still good for someone who (then) was playing wc3 full-time.

huk 2-0 moon in the group stage.

IdrA 2-0 MC in the group stage of MLG Colombus. Guess what happened? Moon shouldn't be discounted but Huk has a huge chance at taking this

Problem is, Huk isn't Idra. Moon might win but I doubt it will be similar to what happened to Idra at MLG.

Yeap, frankly Idra beat MC the first day in part -- or mostly -- due to jetlag. Huk on the other hand, knows how to beat korean zergs.. the series is Huk's to lose.

Since when did he become good vs Korean zergs?

He's been in Korea for a long time, he's in Code S and he just beat July -- an elite korean zerg player -- in the semifinals of a 20K LAN tournament. What other argument do you want? or u just want to hate that's all?

Yeah... should see a bit of skill there, you know, I reckon people around here should wonder about the game coming up, but, welp, it's a boon to love Moon, even though his match is not soon.

Here I am, he went for extremely cheesy strategies in all 3 games and Bomber played right into his hands.

Wow are you serious.

1. Bomber goes 2 port banshee all-in first game and gets lucky.
2. Moon beats Bomber in a straight-up macro game in game 2.
3. Bomber plays like shit in game 3 and gets straight up raped by Moon.

1 + 2 + 3 = Moon went for extremely cheesy strategies .......?????

Don't be mad you lost money. Bomber was the cheesy one this series and Moon took advantage. I don't even like Moon (nor do I dislike him) but you're post is so full of shit; it's like you didn't even watch the game.

still though, the group play/RO16 was amazing enough on it's own.

Wut? The semis was more exciting than most ro16 and ro8 games.

i personally don't consider Huk winning exciting, so the semi's have been meh.

big july fan

i wanted bomber to win look at it this way though, bomber vs july :D :D

Its a very good thing that he isnt Idra - he wont bottle it or lose it due to temprament, Idra is definately top 10 foreigners but hes not at Code S level anymore

Haha! Bomber loses a bo3 vs a Zerg at an international event and now people are like "Bomber really needs to work on his TvZ". Give me a break, everyone can play bad from time to time, even top Koreans, it doesn't mean anything.

He is, he should get way more credit for his games. He makes stupid mistakes, but has incredible moments after that. People only seem to hammer on the negative aspects of his game >.>

tis been a good tournament and has thrown up some surprising results... I can finally accept Moon's skill as a SC2 player... it'll be interesting to see if he replicate that form in Korea or if he'd fall on ST_Ace territory... as for the finals, it isn't a top-class final but one that gives HuK the chance to beat a Korean... I hope people don't look at this as some kind of a foreigner revival, the Koreans have clearly shown their class and knocked off their own players...
