Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |
The guy asked for the second MC co-cast, that was Tarson - Bischu...

Both games against MC he put himself in positions where MC could put great forcefields. Using drops would be so much better, plus buying him more time to reproduce his army. Also giving MC more time to make more stalkers. MC knows how to stop drops with blink stalkers and would be expecting it on metalopolis. G2 he could have easily kept like 10 lings at MC's 4th and sent them into his natural when MC went all in. Maybe that wasn't evident at the time? I mean it's like they say, hindsight is 20-20. He never does it ever... vs MC at least. He's 2-8 against the guy now and he continues to use the same unit comp every game. Well that's what happens when someone's in your head. Once IdrA fixes his mental game he will be so so scary. Right now I sorta look at him and I'm like "He'll do well against weaker opponents but when it comes to really good players he'll fall apart." Holy crap are you for real? He played two close games against the BEST PROTOSS IN THE FUCKING WORLD. He didn't fall apart at all. He has a weak matchup. Losira sucks at TvZ and July sucks at ZvZ, big deal. Only NesTea, MC, Bomber, MVP, and MKP don't seem to have a weak matchup, every other top player does. You took my post wrong. I never said he fell apart against MC. Not at all, he played really well in fact. Looked like he was gonna win in both games at points actually. All I said is when I look at him, I get this feeling that he WILL fall apart against these much better players like MC. Not that he does. Now he did sorta fall apart at MLG though. Also I was only introduced to SC2 during MLG Columbus, so this is just based off of my personal observations. You were only introduced to SC2 during MLG Columbus? meaning you only know this game for less than a month? What are you doing here getting in conversation about SC2 when you barely know the game? sup bro i've only played sc2 for 3 days but i've gotta say, you're horrible.

I think Socke has better pvp, but I am rooting for Huk. I'll like to see Huk v MC or Huk v Bomber in the finals. Easiest match to predict is Sen > July, since July's zvz has been pretty weak. Bomber vs MC could be the championship round. I'll say MC > Bomber (but no clue really) Moon > Naniwa, no idea again, but seems like Moon gets overlooked despite his constant solid showings. No one ever thinks he'll win it all, but some people actually trash him despite him showing he's a very solid player. I don't see Moon beating Naniwa. Moon is a solid player who has pretty decent showings in foreign tournaments, but I think he would struggle against most Code A Korean players or top 3-5 foreigners.
Moon's teammate Soccer qualified for Code A Lyn was in Code S Moon is on the same lvl.. he's focusing on the foreign scene since he has many foreign fans ( don't say he doesn't care )

I love the inevitable QQ that comes about protoss whenever MC wins. Like, literally any time the best protoss in the world and possible best player in the world wins a game convincingly arguments pop up about protoss being imba everywhere. It seems like MC has almost every mineral and bit of gas accounted for in the first 10 minutes of the game, I think he is at least as good at macro as IdrA but no one considers protoss a macro-style race so everyone ignores it. He just seems to somehow have more than everyone else, it's like he gets everything done the second he needs to, shaves a couple seconds off on what other protosses do here and there, and just ends up like a minute ahead of everyone else.

Monday 20th of June (CEST) 10.00: Quarter Finals (BO3) 13.00: Semi Finals (BO3) 16.30: Third/Fourth Place Match (BO3) 18.30: Grand Final (BO5)
really should have been BO5s for all matches except for finals which should be BO7 with the time block spacing they have

Moon's my favourite player but I don't see him beating Naniwa Can always hope though! Such things as upsets :D
gogo Moon!! I do think he's a Code-A level player for sure, too bad he couldn't try to qualify cause of Dreamhack...

This one is actually better. MC talks a lot more.

I play Zerg at a reasonable masters level and am a huge Z player fanboy...but even I admit that MC just outplayed IdrA. This is not a case of imba match ups, a-moving, map problems, etc. -- it's a case of IdrA running into a superior player. I think Greg himself would admit that.
I think I'm drinking too much beer to stay up till 1AM PST but I'm giving it my best effort. Drinking my namesake like it's going out of style. GOGO JULY / MOON / SEN!

Yeah that is quite ridiculous. 3 hours for best of 3s? How can you manage to pull that off in the beginning with 4 streams when there are like 50 players, but you can't manage to extend 4 series to best of threes? You really need two hours to play the third/fourth place matches before the grand finals?

Bomber hasuobs VODs anyone?

I love seeing Koreans in foreign tournaments, and foreigners in Korea. It's great. When they will play each other otherwise?
Look, I have watched several "foreigners only" tournaments. My interest lasted only for a short while. EG's Masters Cup doesn't have Koreans. IPL doesn't have Koreans. I watched IPL because they had very good quality stream compared to NASL, but that's it, I haven't bothered since then. It makes me want to punch somebody watching very low level play from some of the foreigners. And it doesn't seem it's only me, because foreigner only tournaments aren't generating interest of public.
Imagine soccer. USA has its own league, MLS. But really, it bores crap out of me. I watch English, Spanish and Champions leagues more often.
So yeah, this tournament is great. Thanks, DH!

Coaches will probably attend/pick for them like when Byun missed the last one.

100% agree with you. There's no reason to exclude good players from tournaments, unless it means an actual LAN tournament. The good players is what makes the games so good, imagine the NFL without Brady, Manning, Peterson, and Rodgers. Who would want to watch that? (XFL fail)

HuK faces his own personal demon in the round of 8.
Dreamhack Winter 2010: Socke 2 > 1 HuK in the round of 16
Assembly Winter 2011: Socke 2 > 1 HuK in the round of 8
Will Socke continue his domination of HuK at Nordic lans?
