Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

Look at the timing he tried to hit. What do you think would have happened to Socke if he hadn't managed to stall the fights with force fields until his colossi came out? You do understand that's EXACTLY what force fields are for and every single protoss always gets a ton of them for that exact reason? That's like me saying "Imagine how good my 4 gate would've been if repair didn't exist and he didn't put down bunkers after FEing"?
So he underestimated for how long Socke could stall the fight. He underestimated to what extent force fields can dictate the flow of the game. Metalopolis has an open expo and Ret's army at the time of his advancing looked vastly superior to Socke's. The only weapon Socke had which could stop an inevitable doom would be colossus, which he at the time of Ret's initial army advancement was far from having.
People complain so blindly about a composition they have read on the internet is "bad". "Uh, why he do Roach Hydra, even I am better than doing that". The thing is, roach hydra destroys everything protoss has as long as there isn't a colossus out.
Ret had perfect timing with the perfect army, had he not understimated how many force fields Socke had.

Shame that ThorZain is not in anymore as he was probably the only one who in my opinion could have taken MC or Bomber out. I don't think any EU protoss can beat Bomber and PvP vs MC is more likely, but still very hard. Idra or Sen can beat Bomber possibly if they meet, but in Idra's case that is highly unlikely I can see MC losing to NaNiwa or white-ra in PvP. I mean NaNiwa vs. MC at MLG wasn't exactly completely one-sided. The games were pretty terrible BO loses. PvP is just so random that any of the 3 could beat each other. MC destroyed nani in colombus. PvP isn't as random as people think it is. It IS extremely unforgiving, but for players with near perfect micro like MC it becomes much less of a toss-up. I'd say special taktiks have a better chance
i wouldn't call naniwa stupidly dancing his zealots in MC's base, naniwa getting destroyed. The second game was a build order loss with Naniwa delaying his warpgate tech for some reason and getting 4gated.

Yeah he did pretty well overall, I just feel like he didn't play anywhere near his potential those last 2 games.

Yeah, it's a lot of PvP, but sorry, I can't control the future, only predict it. 4 for 4 so far! :D You sir, are crazy. Do you really think Hasu will beat Bomber.... and then beat MC? No chance He beat Thorzain. Well that sure is an irrelevant answer if I've ever seen one. He beat Thorzain. Hahahaha so what??? Thorzain??? What does beating Thorzain have to do with even being close to capable of beating Bomber? Bomber and Thorzain aren't even close in terms of skill. Not even close. Bomber hasn't really looked that impressive in this tournament though. He's good but certainly not unbeatable.
Yeah, maybe stamina is an issue for him. I would say HuK or MC are looking stronger right now.

I wish own3d worked properly for me, I'd much prefer the sc2 vin diesel even in german over the iccup boys.

Bomber, the hope of Terran!
Brat OK may still be there, but i think Naniwa will defeat him.

Bomber goes for the 1base all in

Yeah man, terran have really been struggling to make it far in tournaments lately. MLG and GSL have been proof of this.. MLG had one terran going far....not sure what you're talking about there. GSL I cant deny your view no matter how hard I try...saying the amount of talent per capita is a lot bigger in terran players and you wont agree with me, saying that stupid brackets had the better players from other races kill each other doesnt help and one or 2 upsets and you could somewhat explain a lot of terrans....not only terrans tho...so theres no way I can win an argument on that TT

Watching Hasu-Bomber on Khaldor's stream even tho i don't understand german, but i can stand those iCC comentators....

I already have a bad feeling about Hasu in this game.

Ooooh, I make DT's. He reacted to what he knew Ret was going to do. DT works wonders in this situation since lair is a bit late.
The two most common responses to a P fast expand seem to be a roach-ling all-in or an immediate third before lair. DT's work great against both. IMO, as a P you almost have to go DT or stargate after you expand to give yourself a way to secure the third.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. MC vs IdrA match is ro16? So we're down to atleast 16 players?

Bomber seems to be going for a raven banshee tank all-in here, it's gonna be so powerful with taht amount of probes killed
