Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining

Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

Well Huks finally going to start facing some real competition now. He had a relatively easy group and faced probably the weakest first round opponent.

Let's see if he has improved his PvP against Socke. Socke doesn't exactly have an amazing PvP record either so it could be time for Huk to break out.

Huk always has strange tournament experiences... either has an easy road or a ridiculously difficult road... rarely gets something in the middle lol

His group was decent, not sure what this myth is about it being bad. I mean, maybe he just made the players look bad. Lalush in particular has been pretty good recently. Moon and Tarson aren't bad either.

Still, easy compared to others. Lalush was horrible in that last game on Shakuras. So passive, was choking really hard it seemed.

July, my new favourite zerg this tournament, he loses with his balls intact, if that should happen.

The way July plays, he either smashes his balls into the other player, or into himself.

Yeah, it's a lot of PvP, but sorry, I can't control the future, only predict it.

4 for 4 so far!

:D

You sir, are crazy. Do you really think Hasu will beat Bomber.... and then beat MC? No chance

He beat Thorzain.

Well that sure is an irrelevant answer if I've ever seen one. He beat Thorzain. Hahahaha so what??? Thorzain??? What does beating Thorzain have to do with even being close to capable of beating Bomber? Bomber and Thorzain aren't even close in terms of skill. Not even close.

Yeah man, terran have really been struggling to make it far in tournaments lately. MLG and GSL have been proof of this..

Um, didn't MLG have like 5 out of 8 players left Zerg? Foreigner terrans aren't doing so well now, only KR terrans.

Hmm, seems like it will be Korean domination, at least I see top 2 being Koreans as MC v Bomber will eliminate one of the in quarterfinals. Shame that ThorZain is not in anymore as he was probably the only one who in my opinion could have taken MC or Bomber out. I don't think any EU protoss can beat Bomber and PvP vs MC is more likely, but still very hard. Idra or Sen can beat Bomber possibly if they meet, but in Idra's case that is highly unlikely

I can see MC losing to NaNiwa or white-ra in PvP.

I mean NaNiwa vs. MC at MLG wasn't exactly completely one-sided. The games were pretty terrible BO loses. PvP is just so random that any of the 3 could beat each other.

MC destroyed nani in colombus. PvP isn't as random as people think it is. It IS extremely unforgiving, but for players with near perfect micro like MC it becomes much less of a toss-up.

I'd say special taktiks have a better chance

That's why Alicia destroyed MC in the GSLST (outmicroed MC), but he still has by far the best PvP at this tournament, that's why it is his tournament to win, if he can defeat Bomber

No, roach/hydra makes ZvP boring. Big blob, 1a, no creativity.

i agree, was an abomination of a game. Such boring play, seemed really uninspired if i compare it to some of the other tactics zergs have been using.

Ret middle-grounded after the DTs hit. He needed to do something, either go up to a 4th base, toss down static defense and turtle, go for an insanely fast Hive, 3 base vs Death ball just doesn't work and hasn't for ages.

He played well this weekend, but, yeah, wanted to see Ret vs Huk.

't been watching NASL, but I know Ret only lost one match this season. Does anyone know if his ZvP was mostly roach/hydra for those matches?

He played Ace, and lost pretty soundly while going for very fast broodlords. Twice.
He played MC and killed a 1-gate expand with roach/ling. Then he got cannon rushed and got lucky with a roach/queen nydus worm in vision of MC's pylon.
He played Hasuobs and basically just hit roach/hydra timings and hasuobs lost his army in the middle of the map instead of forcefielding ret out of his base. (i think. don't remember these clearly, just remember that hasuobs play was very disappointing)
