Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining

Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

So what we have? 4 Koreans vs 44 non-Koreans, and all of them advanced from their groups (losing 1 match only). Now we have 4 Koreans vs 12 foreigners in playoffs. Shouldn't we start to worry that it may be "Korean" finals? For me - it's like 95% that at least 1 Korean will be in final.

My money is on Bomber. MC is strong, but the huge number of Protoss seems to work against the favor of being able to predict the advancement of any given Protoss. PvP is just such an unstable match-up, that anything can happen.

Draw results in:

Huk vs idra
july vs hasuobs

rest is irrelevant

So this is what happens when "Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining" is not allowed. The thread gets even more stupid.

Everyone has been talking about the European Terran power-house. But look at the list below.

Europeans Protoss qualified for Ro16:
Naniwa
Sase
White-Ra

6 out of 16 qualified are European Protoss.

90% of the players in the tournament were Europeans, how is this any surprise?

thats not the point....terran/protoss is

Where are the EU terrans? for the longest time, it was all terran in EU.

I can't really recall many good European terrans. Most terrans who were considered good some months ago relied on SCV all-ins and fast rushes or one base plays, which have become harder due to different map pool.

There are still some good terrans, but more protosses have made themselves known.

the problem with this whole foreigner or not is that there is double standard being applied.
i dont think very many people will seriously argue that someone like select or moonan are koreans when they play at any tournaments (say MLG). if hypothetically we imagine select got 1st at MLG, i dont think anyone would say that a korean (in the same sense that they would if MMA won) won the event. Same thing with moonan BUT if and only if these players are competing in places where they are from, the confusion kicks in.
for ex: moonan will be playing for FXO in the next GSTL. when FXO decides to send him out and again let's hypothetically imagine that he all kills some team. do we say hes a korean or a foreigner?
it's the same for huk.
when he's in korea competing in the GSL, no one would argue him as anything other than a foreigner competing but when he's out here playing in the foreign scene "where he's from" the debate starts

So much talk about huk when White-Ra, Nani and Sase accomplished the exact same results in harder groups -_-

This is why random draw is stupid, hasu and July again? I would like to see some other people play against july or hasu.
