I'm just now looking at the groups and holy shit group F is scary. One great player and 2 pretty good players are gonna get knocked out.

I think IdrA wins the tie breaker over Grubby.

It looks like they are going to play again to see who advances. You can see there is a round six match between Idra and Grubby added for Group C

edit

And extra round has also been added for Group A which was also a tie.

I don't mind tiebreakers... in fact in most cases I prefer them.

But when you have a set of rules, you absolutely have to follow them. In this case they should be following their own tiebreak rules... doing anything else is absurdity.

Yeah I agree but its grubby. As from what I have seen he's not an amazing player and would be surprised if he were to beat idra in the tie breaker games.

Why wouldn't they just use the head to head match as the tie breaker?
It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback.

Someone had to of made a mistake, unless they are not following there own rules. There is no tie as idra won by dreamhacks rules. Plus everyone has confirmed that idra was advancing.

Grubby said idra was advancing on his twitter

EG said idra was advancing on there twitter

Day9 said idra was advancing on his stream

Team Liquid said idra was advancing on there twitter

Exactly. I see no reason to why they would play each other again when they already have. It's very common that this is one of the first tie breakers in sports.

Oh I agree. There is like a 5% chance Grubby somehow wins.

But if I was IdrA I would be pissed off. Apparently he's sick right now and has to now prepare for a match tomorrow... I'm sure he'd rather be resting or prepping for the playoffs...

This is a terrible LR thread...I guess if you're to lazy to type out "dreamhack" so no one can find it with a search you're too lazy to update results too.

And now both of those extra games just disappeared. What the hell is going on with the results @ http://dreamhack.binarybeast.com/ .

Speculation: It's the software on their back-end that can't do the tie-breakers properly. And someone is trying to fix it?
