It's just really annoying how obvious it is when people really want to take away from MMA because all they can do is reference his loss to Huk over and over again as "oh he's more one-dimensional than MKP/Polt, he sucks at TvP". Stop going off one match as evidence as anything, because it means nothing. Look at the games, not the results for a more accurate judgment of a player. Don't know how many times I've been hammering this point in, but people just don't seem to get it, even after MMA took out MKP and the people who only cited results thought MKP would destroy MMA. Just stop.

If anything, the only new thing I've seen is hellion play but let's not overplay it as being "revolutionary."

Destroy him and avenge your teammate. How exactly is he lucky? Playing only TvT in the largest SC2 tournament to date to get to the finals, including two games against teammates? So you're implying that playing against teammates somehow made it easier for him? As if, he somehow has an advantage that his teammate doesn't have when he plays? The interesting thing about teamkills is that sometimes the games get weird and people don't actually play the way they usually do because they know each other so well. Playing against a teammate is surely an odd situation, but I don't see how it's lucky. You could argue that anyone gets lucky to get to the finals. If you didn't like MKP, you could say that he was lucky just because none of his opponents were all that challenging until he hit MMA. TheBest goes without saying. RevivaL was always just a very average player, completely unimpressive but not terrible either. Ace actually has a pretty bad record overall in Korea, despite doing well internationally. Squirtle is the only player who actually has a good vT record, but he's been completely unimpressive since his GSTL all-kill and Bo1 win against MVP. No matter how you look at it, MKP's had a pretty damn easy path - TheBest as a Ro8 match was a total joke. One could even argue that MMA is unlucky that he didn't get any TvZs since statistically that seems to be his strongest matchup. Lastly, don't forget that MMA dealt with flying to MLG, practicing for opponents there, got back to SK, and played while he was likely quite fatigued - yet still managed to pull through. Sure, having only TvTs may seem lucky, but there's plenty more to the story, and there's also the selective criticism of MMA's TvT-only path when MKP just had a path of rather easy players to get to the Ro4. Even if you completely ignore my points about MKP and just look at MMA, MMA went to a whole different tournament on the other side of the world, won, came back, and won his GSL match. That right there isn't luck - that's pure determination and a testament to his ability to focus.

He did not practice one matchup for "weeks."

Err, how about how he played 18 games (against all 3 races) at another tournament in the middle of the GSL. Or how he's got another tournament this week (LG tournament) leading up to the finals. The guy hasn't just been playing/practicing TvT.

Dudebro: MMA had to play MKP, Losira, July, Idra, Kiwikaki, and good SlayerS Terrans since the ST began... and Kiwikaki probably played better than Alicia did (against Polt)..

I need to know! Yes. MMA was down 0-2. MKP dominated MMA in the first two games. Game one was very unorthodox as well. In the next three games, MMA adapted to MKP's style, came back several times despite down in supply, dragged it to the late game and through prolonged dogfights, edged out MKP in the next three game, reverse sweeping. Boxer showed up when MMA was close to being eliminated. MKP was wearing his emotions on his sleeves again. I was watching it live and my eyes were glued to the screen.
