We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

I think he is just top 3 PvX, whereas there might be players who are more exploitive in certain matches (think InCa for PvP, or Alicia maybe in PvT?). Also, current state of the korean metagame has Zerg in massive favour in ZvP anywho, so it isn't totally out of the ordinary for MC to lose to Losira. Lol wtf? He lost to Losira in two build order losses, stomping him on metal, and DRG beat him with a roach-ling allin..it was a best of 3. MVP lost 2-1 to Ganzi and Nestea has lost 2-1 to RootDdoro.

July and LosirA are top 5 zerg in Korea, MC probably the best protoss, and MMA has the potential to be top 5 as well. IdrA tilted terribly in his series versus MC and MMA. NaNiwa was up against perhaps the best ZvP in the world against a player with a new type of strategy, and did fairly well considering this. Thorzain actually would have won his 2nd series vs. MC if it had not been extended. Honestly if foreigners just put some more time and dedication into the game I'm sure some of them would reach the level that LosirA, MMA, July, and MC are at. Naniwa and ThorZain would easily be Code-S. Other European players such as MorroW, Dimaga, Mana, Whitera, Naama all clearly have a ton of skill at their disposal and just need to devote themselves to the game. IdrA needs to fix his mindset and he would probably be so as well. Regardless, these are just opinions. I was very impressed with this MLG, and hope the next will be at least as good. You know, this might sound a bit weird to say but, I'm not sure if the amount of practice and training that the foreigners require to be on par with the Koreans is even worth it. Those guys live in pretty shabby houses without much privacy or peace to themselves and have ridiculous training routines and aren't given a great deal of liberty by their coaches, generally speaking. Is it possible to lead a balanced lifestyle AND be as good as the Koreans are? I'm not so sure. If you're willing to sacrifice everything just for the sake of SC2, then sure, yeah you can be as good as the Koreans if you train properly... I may be wrong but think about how hard Idra has been training to be roughly on par with the best Koreans, how many other foreigners are willing and capable of going through that?

Also, about Idra, he must've been stressed out because it's been a long weekend, there shouldn't be a need to be bashing him for his false read on MMA, or anything else. False reads happen in other sports; it's just something that happens from time to time, congrats to him on the 4th place finish! PS: Wow, that's pretty cool that there's been so many views on this thread, congrats to this thread for being kinda historic!

It was pretty awesome. | ||

Same with music (especially music). You need to practice & study SO hard. It's not as bad as you make it out only because they WANT to do it. They know that's what it takes to be the best of the best and it helps that progamers are revered in Korea ![]()
