We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |
Losira, showing off his bad ZvT again. No,,reaching 200 with banelings and a-moving against sieged tanks is not a solid tactic.

I'm disappointed that people don't care now that it's only Koreans. MMA is my favorite player, and I really like MC and July too. It's the foreigners that are the most boring to me, tbh.

I can't believe people are actually uninterested in such good games. Don't you want to watch the best sc2 players duke it out? I thought this was the point.

I was thinking that too, Losira didn't seem to have a good read on how large MMA's force actually was. When MMA pushed out, then retreated, there were as many reinforcements as his original army he pushed out with.

In Korea you basically only play the GSL while there's a lot more oppurtunities in the US and Europe Yea i wouldn't want to play in the NFL and play for $50,000 when i can dominate the CFL and win the $250 prize pools. The only prize pools worth anything in the US are the MLG overall championship and blizzcon and the koreans will come to win those. Thats the problem with the north american players, they want to settle for lesser leagues because becoming the best takes too much work. I think idra doesnt want to go back to korea because he got run out the first time because of his attitude is my guess. He didn't get run out -.-.. He said the scene is easier to succeed here instead of playing in one hard tournament. Between NASL, IEM, Dreamhack, and MLG, the prize pool for foreign events is bigger than that of the GSL. Korea has their own smaller tournaments, I realize, but I believe the two scenes are pretty equal in terms of prize pool, and the foreign scene is much easier. It makes a lot more sense to stay in the US, where you were _born_, than to live in a foreign country where you'll probably end up making less money. Foreigners can say goodbye to easy money. If koreans start invading western lans foreigners are gonna be bankrupt soon. or learn to be better gamer... Won't happen, if Koreans start coming to major western tournaments then western e-sports will die. They will just dominate everything, the scene will get stagnant and boring, and that will be it. So we just disallow Koreans and crown paper champions? OH LOOK! IDRA WINS MLG ANAHEIM! HE'S THE BEST IN THE WORLD! If the Koreans aren't allowed to come, every champion will just be a paper champion that won't be considered the best because of the competition. If the foreigners want to get better, they need to play the best in the world.
Seriously, maybe if Koreans start dominating our tournaments, foreign players will decide to finally practice as well as they do overall.

So MMA gets Code S regardless?
LosirA is Code S MC is Code S MMA is Code A

I cannot tell you the number of games where I watched him keep a small force of speedlings to somehow harass the main and naturals of his opponents, even if they have walls. He's very active with those speedlings.

in that case, they should ban the europeans like naniwa from coming too.
any top 40 korean or top 15 european can easily beat americans like kiwikaki and select in their sleep.

1.- Koreans are the better SC2 players: All koreans (except for moon) performed very well on pool play, while dealing with jetlag. Koreans in the championship bracket were only eliminated by koreans. Top 3 is all-korean. I think it's proof enough, even if I think the foreigner pool could be a bit stronger, I don't think the results would be too different.
2.- Nani is best foreigner protoss, hands down. Idra's position as best foreigner zerg is kinda doubtful, you can't be the best with that terrible mindset.
3.- Thorzain is a great player and TSL3 wasn't a fluke at all. Sheth shows TONS of promise, as do Major and ViBe, for the foreigner scene.
4.- Koreans are better showmakers as far as gaming stuff go. This whole "MC SO BM" thing is ridiculous, he's putting up a show. This is why MC's "BM" is different from idra's. He uses it to entertain the crowd, not to randomly dish shit like Idra does all the time. We could see how MC actually feels about his opponents. He very respectfully hand shook with nani and moon, and probably T-zain as well.
5.- Tastosis is funnier that Day/WHEAT, but the latter can make games a little more exciting.
6.- This was, all in all, a GREAT EVENT. Props to MLG for surviving the Dallas disaster and becoming a lot better. Really, congratulations, you've shown balls. Agree 100% quoted for awesomeness feature this post :D

I want MMA to win because he needs Code S more than the other players.
