We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.

Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.

Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out.

Give the final to Day9 and gjWheat imo, it is their event. I mean they are regulars to MLG. Tastosis already got lots of final from GSL and all their tournaments.

I think we can take some conclusions from MLG now:

1.- Koreans are the better SC2 players: All koreans (except for moon) performed very well on pool play, while dealing with jetlag. Koreans in the championship bracket were only eliminated by koreans. Top 3 is all-korean. I think it's proof enough, even if I think the foreigner pool could be a bit stronger, I don't think the results would be too different.

2.- Nani is best foreigner protoss, hands down. Idra's position as best foreigner zerg is kinda doubtful, you can't be the best with that terrible mindset.

3.- Thorzain is a great player and TSL3 wasn't a fluke at all. Sheth shows TONS of promise, as do Major and ViBe, for the foreigner scene.

4.- Koreans are better showmakers as far as gaming stuff go. This whole "MC SO BM" thing is ridiculous, he's putting up a show. This is why MC's "BM" is different from idra's. He uses it to entertain the crowd, not to randomly dish shit like Idra does all the time. We could see how MC actually feels about his opponents. He very respectfully hand shook with nani and moon, and probably T-zain as well.

5.- Tastosis is funnier that Day/WHEAT, but the latter can make games a little more exciting.

6.- This was, all in all, a GREAT EVENT. Props to MLG for surviving the Dallas disaster and becoming a lot better. Really, congratulations, you've shown balls.

More people need to read this. I agree with everything!

So

Koreans destroy the group play going 20 - 3 overall in series
In the championship bracket, Koreans have now secured top 3 spots
Every korean that got eliminated... got eliminated by other koreans
MLG Columbus champion will be a Korean

I think we can officially end the argument here.

SOUTH KOREA STARCRAFT FIGHTIN!!!! KEEP THE MONOPOLY WHERE IT BELONGS :D

Looks like GSL is starting early today indeed

The sad thing is, some of the very top Koreans (imo), such as Nestea, MVP, Bomber, MKP, didn't even come

What's even more sad is that these "top" Koreans are BW washouts.

I wonder who GSL will send next time. MC, MMA, and Losira should be seeded.

Bomber has been confirmed. Hopefully MarineKing and Alicia.

Am I right in thinking that Idra won 8 games in a row to start the tourney, then lost 8 in a row to get eliminated?

Crowd is sorta dying down after IdrA lost. I feel bad for everyone man, how can you REALLY be an IdrA fan? I'm a fan of his, he's on my list, but never #1. You can never place a bet on him, NEVER. Why place your hopes on him?

UGh. Why, Idra. Why. He could've easily shattered the Korean top 3 and even win MLG. But then this. Completely fucked up my MLG experience.

Not even close, he clearly cannot compete with them when it matters, it was shown in GSL and its shown now.

Its fine being a fan of a player but fabricating some sort of false legacy around your favorite player is just setting up for dissapointment at the next tournament.

Idra is not LeBron James of Starcraft, he is Carlos Boozer, decent player on form when he plays well but otherwise not a top tier player

You do understand that the players here at MLG at easily the top 16 Code S players right? IdrA is still better than 95% of the korean progamers.

....

Top 16 Code S? I find that very hard to believe lol

Idra was top 8 when he left...

Yes but idra is one player, my question is which and how many players is the other poster referring too?

Nani and Thorzain I'd believe being in top 16 but other then that I'm not too sure.

Great, great post, too! I loved how MC and Nani were so mannered, probably one of my favorite moments, although I wanted Nani to win.
