GeForce.com To Stream The Live GSPA Finals On September 29th September 15, 2011 By Andrew Burnes The GeForce StarCraft II Pro/Am Tournament has been underway since mid-July, with over 9,300 amateur players and 70 e-sport professionals competing in thousands of matches for a chance to win more than $22,000 in cash and hardware prizes. Husky and Day[9], the world’s most famous StarCraft II casters, have commentated on the best matches in each round of the tournament, all of which are easily accessible via our dedicated tournament site, generating over seven million views to date on their respective YouTube channels. “The GeForce StarCraft II Pro/Am tournament has been a great success for us and we deeply appreciate the support of the players and the StarCraft II spectators,” said Drew Henry, general manager of the GeForce business unit at NVIDIA. “We applaud the StarCraft community for gathering around the GeForce StarCraft II Pro/Am tournament and making it one of the largest tournaments to date.” On Thursday, September 29th, the final three professional games will be shoutcasted, determining a winner who will take home an ASUS GeForce GTX 590 and $4,725.00 cash. Each will be broadcast via three unique avenues, simultaneously around the world, beginning at 6pm PST: Option 1) A high-quality stream, accessible through GeForce.com and Twitch.tv, where viewers can socialize and discuss the match’s action instantly through the built-in chat feature. Option 2) Head on over to the ‘Mad Dog in the Fog Bar' at 530 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA 94117 for a live BarCraft event where fans of StarCraft II and e-sports can get together to watch the finals whilst enjoying Mad Dog’s range of food and drink. No different than fans gathering to watch baseball or football in a sports bar, BarCrafts are quickly becoming the preferred method of watching e-sports for fans seeking that same experience, and due to their growing popularity the Wall Street Journal recently published a Life & Style article about them. Option 3) Go virtual and utilize Xmobb technology on GeForce.com to enter a 3D theater as an avatar to watch the finals alongside friends and other e-sport fans while interacting via text chat, emoticons and other methods. For more about the GeForce StarCraft II Pro/Am Tournament and live final stay tuned to GeForce.com and the GSPA Tournament site, and to try StarCraft II yourself give the free trial a whirl.

Edit: Also GoOdy vs MVP W/O which sucks... :-(! Some suprising results there. Ciara taking a game off MVP, DarKFoRcE beating Nerchio 3-0 and GoOdy winning 3-0 vs SjoW is really impressive as well. are replays going to be released?
