If you would visit the Schedule page this is made very clear. The group stages for the Professional division end tomorrow the 28th.

Then the final bracket for Professional begins on August 4th.

You can watch this video to find out how to reschedule matches.

If you are participating in MLG make sure to post in your match communications thread and contact an official and we will work with you and your opponent to reschedule the match.

Contacting an official means going to the Support page on the Geforce tournament website and using one of those methods. Not posting here on this thread.

Great tournament guys keep up the good work!

The only criticism of the am tournament is that I either have an opponent who is a lot worse than me or I get a guy who just completely rapes me haha.

I suppose I do like having the opportunity to play grandmasters it lets me know how far I am from getting to a good skill level. Don't think I will make it of off the second group stage though.

By the way, what happens if 1 person checks in and his opponent does not. Then they play their matches and the one who did not check in wins. Can the loser who checked in still say he won because his opponent did not check in?

tl;dr is checking in mandatory and will you get a forfeit loss if you dont check in?

Well in this case the winner should post the results and upload replays. If one player doesn't check in and the other requests a forfeit the system will award him the forfeit. However if you play, you will need to contact an official to reset your match so that you can upload the replays.

If you log on to our vent support server please seek out Ahn, Ellis, Mowery, Plitt, or Spangler.

Record is wiped out?
For amateur division, the whole record seems to be wiped out when the phase is not even over, however, when you click on the matches, it shows your previous matches though.
What's going on??

Yea, for me too. My individual results are still there (and accurate), but the group scoreboard is gone. My guess was because they were updating, but I don't know.

Could not play one day cuz of an emergency, and now as a result I might actually be eliminated... sad thing is I haven't dropped a single game, and my opponents are worst than me..FML

I have a question say i won every game but have 1 loss. Is it better to have a FFL or lose 2-1 to a player? will i still move on if the 1st place has same wins but lost a 2-0?

One of the admins (I think Ellis, but I'm not sure) told me that in case of a tie in score, the first tiebreaker will be FFL's--the player with fewer FFL's will advance.

I think the second tiebreaker (if both players have equal FFL's) is the round differential.

Anyone able to confirm this?

Why is the tournament structure outlined in the "rules" page completely different from what's actually happening?

Perhaps the rules were written before the sheer number of people registered for this event. It seems like they added a group stage and increased the number of people in the Qualifying phase and Tournament round and then didn't update the rules page.

That's my guess--not really a big deal.

I played my final opponent tonight and I'm definitely not moving on. Just wanted to say what an awesome time I had in this tournament (my first tournament) and had some great times. Tonight I took a game off a guy who was in Grandmaster last season, and I'm only in diamond, felt awesome.

Anyway, I just wanted to say what a great tournament this was for me... awesome opportunity and I'm so grateful to geforce for putting on an amateur tournament!
