That said I agree with the rest of your post. People overhype people like crazy(see MMA and Losira) just because Artosis yells out his bullsiht and everyone on TL feels like following suit.

How about we wait until people actually accomplish something. Alicia is obviously very good but MC has proven himself, Alicia hasn't gotten nearly as far yet.

It's better trusting somebody who is at least knowledgeable about the game (like Artosis is), than using statistics to determine who is good and who isn't, especially at such an early stage of SC2 pro scene. Statistics don't take into account regular metagame shifts, balance patches, map changes and the fact that genuinely talented and skilled new players show up pretty much every month and can easily be as good (if not better) than the old favorites.
