Especially the winner of MLG getting into Code S instead of Code A is sooo good. It wouldn't be worth it to give up all the potential price money in the USA/EU to play a MONTH in the GSL (because you practically can't play in any other tournament when you play in the GSL) Code A, to only have a chance to advance to Code S, and then play another whole month and still only have a chance at winning that! Gawh, IT was always stated as code S, not to be that guy, but learn to read lol
they have said that after columbus the winner of MLG will get direct seed into code s, it was stated in both the interview with MLG lee, and the original exchange announcement, nothing has changed they are just stating it as part of the format not as a new announcment.
also what you are stating sounds like pretty much any other tournament out there, also with these new changes, if you are top 4 at MLG and get a seed into code a as you got second or third, the first rounds of code a happen over a much shorter period of time so if you get knocked out in the first 2 rounds yoou will only have been in korea for a few days, its an all expenses paid trip and you can choose to just go back home if you want and you wont have lost out on anything, just a few days to participate in code a. Its much more appealing for foreigners, why wouldnt yoou want to go to korea for a week or less try out code a in an all expenses paid trip and see how you do. If you dont do well you spent 3-7 days in korea didnt have to spend any money and can go back home and participate in NA tournaments.

Can somebody PLEASE link me or explain to me the MSL Format/Code S format? Are there still brackets after Ro32? ???

lol i love the coach award cella gettin a bonus lol

Very cool, at first glance it seems like this format will create more Code S stability.

gonna be interesting to see how MLG winners do (if they decide to go).

Omg epic changes!
Won't be able to watch GSTL all in one week, but now there's more!
However one problem... thing with the GSTL having more time between matches means theres more time for players to prepare for each other; we already know this can be a bad thing because games being decided by build order counters and more preparation from one player than the other usually end very shortly and are not fun to watch. Hopefully with the GSTL format though, it'll only make things more epic.

And if they get far then obviously its worth it to stay for a shot at code s. Its all expenses paid so no harm no foul. So many people trying to look at the foreigner code a seeds negatively saying that its shitty for foreigners.

So although this is true i dont think it will be a huge issue.

Yes! I was actually constantly saying they should do groups so we see more play with more teams rather than having 2 matches to make it to the finals, those of which can really go either way on any given day (and I was even saying to possibly have 10 teams total) and now they are doing it! I'll pretend they were listening to me.
Edit:

Here is a little tip for improving your reading comprehension. If they mention changes to parts of a tournament and don't address the rest of the tournament... you can assume the parts they did not address will remain the same.

see? GOM *does* listen ^_^ yayyy

People know this code s slot was announced a couple of weeks ago right? Why are people acting like its news?

.........wtf i like brackets a LOT more. How is Winner vs Winner, Loser vs Loser any better than current system?!?!
Group play is freaking lame. So it's gonna practically be Group play until the finals?! Thats freaking stupid. Bracket play is a lot better. You get to predict matches and hype matches better. Brackets are fun to predict and also see who will face who ahead.

Am I right to assume that it is the GSTL will be Winners League format and not Proleague format?
