Hmmm I dunno.... I mean I know Artosis has gotten at least second place finishes before. And his play tonight seemed a little more refined than Grubby's. I guess we'll just have to have a difference of opinion.

It was entertaining but the level of play wasn't the best. Grubby made so many mistakes and had some pretty poor phoenix use in the first game. Congrats to artosis tho!

His macro was bad but "platinum level" is such a wild hyperbole.

Well tbh why would Grubby even try hard after losing all prior games? Bad excuse I know but still understandable possibility that he completely didn't care for today's games - also some rly nice results in Copenhagen/Dailymotion should add to that theory.

Anyone who's saying Artosis was just saving up chrono for upgrades is... Well you're not a moron, but it IS indeed moronic to leave a nexus at full chrono for 5+ minutes in a game. It was not planned, and it was not intentional. His APM is incredibly low, this is just a fact. Also the number of artosis pylons created on that metalopolis match... Well.. My head was spinning to say the least. First gate and the cyber were BOTH under ONE pylon which was RIGHT on the edge of his base. If grubby had just blind 4-gated it would be gg instantly. Don't get me wrong I am very happy for Artosis, but some SERIOUS improvements need to come in order for him to... Beat people who are not grubby.

You don't let yourself get to 100 energy on two nexuses because you're saving chrono boost for upgrades, while getting supply blocked and not making probes at all, and stockpiling money because you just aren't spending it.
There's no excuse or reason for it, it was bad play.
