naniwa choked, nerves got to him after he had his huge lead in this series

The lag in the last game seemed to effect him more than it did Thorzain.

Tbh I saw no hint of lag effecting either one. Don't get me wrong, it probably did effect them, but it was just not noticeable to the point, deciding which it effected more would be pretty silly. It's just good that all the times those spikes came, there was pretty much nothing going on.

Naniwa is well known to have a bad temper.

Losing 2 games in a row due to failed all-ins/aggressions + that lag would have really made him lose a lot of focus IMO. His macro fell during that first push (banking up to 2k minerals) and then he never went for forges or twilight councils. And like THorzain said. He also could have took an expansion after dealing massive damage with that Colossus harass.

He was just too focused on winning that he didn't realize he still wasn't that far ahead.

But how are you pinpointing this onto lag exactly? I mean he did play a lot worse than his usual self in the last game, but to say it was the lag's fault, especially before hearing what he has to say... All I'm saying is, you are really just making excuses for him, without anything to back it up.

Nani got tilted hard, but he can't really blame it on that.

nice finals, both of them deserved the final spot and i was happy both of them showed pretty ok play even under the pressure

"pretty okay play"!? common.. dont understate like that -.-
If you think it's too hard there are solutions other than asking for a nerf, getting better is the first that comes to mind.

Yeah, hopefully in the next TSL, they will actually show footage from new york between and during games instead of just pre/post interviews.

Also, I would like to point out. Day9 was a damn good solo caster O.O Like really really good....

Day9 is the best caster, period. This series is proof. He doesn't miss a beat, he conveys excitement , he is not biased whatsoever. Everyone else just pales in comparison.

this so much ... not only does he do the best job at conveying excitement but his understanding of the game is some of the best of any casters as well .... only time I have EVER enjoyed someone solo casting he didnt even miss a beat

I guess you didn't know that the observer was speaking into his ear too.
and the observer is hotbid who needs some credit here too.

I think the combination of the three, chill, day and hotbid, made it the best ever so far.

Lol.

Seriously, after today it's pretty clear Thorzain and Naniwa are better than quite a few Code S finalists.

Dont think they will ever go since getting into code s is still so hard, lose one game and you have to wait a few months before trying again.

Better for them to stay over here with so many big tournaments.

Obviously it's time to win some MLGs! ezpz

Naniwa was tilted so hard. Had the Naniwa from the first 3 games been playing in game 7 he would have walked away as TSL champion.

That Naniwa played game 5 and lost. It all unraveled from there.

Every single EMP was GOLD. That's the kind of micro that makes people go: "WTF NERF EMP!!!"
GG indeed. Go Thorzain!

Are you kidding me?! Almost all the emp's were on a hold position army. Did you actually watch the games?

User was warned for this post

why was this guy warned, it was absolutely true, except for the game where he didn't get any emps off and got owned by naniwa's ff/storms

For this "Quit being a douche." apparently? idk, i didn't think i was breaking any of the ten commandments, but who am i to say?

-ontopic: I would of loved to of seen a losers interview as well as winners like they do in the GSL finals, it's always interesting to see how the players are holding up after such a drawn out series.

I can't believe this final happened.. With so many bad finals recently, I almost felt like this one could only disappoint..

Man, was I wrong.. The hype that has led us up to this point just seems like it was way too little, compared to how awesome this has been.
