Team Vile versus ROOT Gaming showmatch! http://vilegaming.com/teamvile
At 7:30pm PST (10:30pm EST), Team Vile presents a special event showmatch put together at the last minute for the public's entertainment. Team Vile's very own Spanishiwa and HasHe will duke it out against two of ROOT Gaming's most prestigious players: drewbie and CatZ, respectively. Each set will be a best of seven matches format where the winner takes him $100.
= Support Vile Gaming and Team Vile by following us on Facebook or Twitter! =
Sponsors Tonight's event is sponsored by two parties. I myself am putting up $100 for the event, but matching my donation is Jennifer Vitale.
She is an aspiring Terran player who admires HasHe's style of play and hopes to some day be able to take lessons from the amazing coach. She would like me to take this time to make a special shoutout to three of her friends. Without them she wouldn't be as addicted to SC as she is now. They've showed her the ropes and exposed her to the wonderful scene that powers the SC community. Now she can't imagine living without it in her life. These awesome fellas are none other than Mike "USApwnKorea" Lorenz, Dre "Sirius" Kuzmanovski, and Lamonte "G6mr" Harris.

GOGO ROOT! We win! I'm excited for this, thanks for putting up the moolah!
Oh, should be interesting to see some more Spanishiwa games! Woo
drewbie with the lateness.
yay nice game drewbie
For a close position game, Spanishiwa held for an incredibly long time. Very good game.
drewbie wins match 1 on metal.
What are the commentators talking about? Apparently Spanishiwa doesn't mind close positions because he didn't ask for MLG after Drewbie specified "Why not MLG?"
This makes no sense, were the commentators not reading the chat?
even though i'm going for drewbie, i wish you guys would not allow close position maps D:

Spanishiwa is picking the map...
Drewbie specifically said, "Let's do MLG".
He wanted the normal version, he's making his bed... He has to sleep in it.
It's not bad luck, this is entirely his decision.

Sadly just because there are zerg players it doesn't mean the map pool has to be adjusted just for them. Most maps on the map pool are all ladder maps.
Spanishiwa chose the ladder versions.

Zerg players aren't the only ones that hate close positions fyi.
Spanishiwa ends drewbie's 3-0 streak.
drewbie defeats Spanishiwa and ends series at 4-1.
CatZ wins match 1 against HasHe.
Go ROOT! Really looking forward to watch the 2v2!
HasHe wins match 2 against CatZ.
wow Drewbie is the first Terran I've seen beat Spanishiwa in a showmatch.

You didn't see sixjaxMajor beat him on friday 4-1?
The observer is missing quite a lot, he missed Catz's roaches taking out a full base and then his Zerglings taking out another base, I'll give them that second one though, I didn't even notice that on the mini-map, neither did Hashe.
But that first base, nothing was going on, the observer was just following the standing Terran army while the Roaches were taking out a base to the right.
HasHe wins match 4 against CatZ.

They are however the only ones who hate close positions in both asymmetric match ups and will always put them at a disadvantage.

Ouch HasHe with the marine push...

talk about a late stim >.>
CatZ takes game 6 to take the series 4-2.
Looking like the 2v2 is going to be on Scorched Haven..I'd expect this one to be a short game..
edit: CatZ and Drewbie both go Random, and both get terran O-o
Catz/Drewbie go double random and end up as TT for game 1
I'd never seen this map on ultra/high graphics..it's got ashes from the lava flying around, it's really cool.
Team Root both put down a Maka rax at the bottom of their ramps for a future wall-off, and start applying pressure..Vile doesn't look like they're prepared for it..
Ahahaha its an awesome 2v2 going on right now.
Spanishiwa learning the hard way that you don't hatch-first in 2v2...Vile gg's
Spanishiwa taking his build to 2s? lol
Pretty funny game.
It's pretty obvious that the ROOT guys have a lot more experience with 2v2 than Vile. Maybe a little unfair to be pitting a former iccup A 2v2 team against a non-practiced one.
Gotta love the 2v2s. Watching Catz and Drewbie in the EG Masters Cup today was AWSOME!
Game 2 on Omega Sector..teammates bases being really far apart...spanish goes Protoss, drewbie gets zerg, catz gets terran, lol (though they might be able to share control and uses each other's bases)
Lolz
Spanishiwa switches to Protoss for game two. ROOT goes random again and get each others' race: Catz as T and Drewbie as Z.
Maybe they'll switch comps to play their own race :p
Not walling off on this map is a horrible idea, given the distance between bases..
Whoa! I just realized there is 2v2!! D: Catz and Drewbie will destroy. Unfortunately I can't watch now.
10 lings harassing in spanishiwa's (protoss) base, and he starts out stalker, stalker..a few marines finally make it over to assist..catz (drewbie?) sending in some hellions as well
Oh wow, Vile really didn't know their 2v2 at all. Shame GG's.
That was awesome , gj ROOT.
lol..probes die to hellions, spanish GG's..Root showing why they were such bosses in 2s from BW, winning 2-0..nothing horribly great about these 2 games, but they were at least fun in their brevity.
gg's to both Vile and Root
Thanks to the casters and sponsors for making it happen! <3
hehe me and catz know some strong rushes for each mu :D gg's
SC2 might not be balanced with 2v2 in mind, but I feel like the recent usage of the format lends strength for more involvement of 2v2 at higher levels of play.
Even if i'm a 1v1 player and i don't like to play 2s, those game were very entertaining :D

Well done!
this was our second 2v2 game ever T_T, but gg's was fun and we'll be looking for a re in the near future
lol Catz offracing was funny.

Pff, like CatZ & drewbie would need that, they are both damn good at offracing XD Love to watch them 2v2!
Great event! Big thanks to the people setting it up, and of course to the players for giving us such epic entertainment!

Games start around 16 min. Also looks like they are in progress of highlighting every game seperately. So if you, unlike me, are patient, you can wait a bit and it will be easier to navigate

Well, ROOT is probably the best team in North America, so Vile did about as well as one could expect, taking a game or two.
whats happening with Vile's BATL league?
