I can't tell what games are being played...who is playing...who is getting knocked out...when games are supposed to be played. All this IPL TV stuff confuses me, especially since I'm watching so many matches I've seen before.

Well, the brackets and schedule is easily available on the website, but still, something feels off in this tournament which is why i don't really watch it, eventhough i watched every game of the NASL, which had less production value. Can't put my finger on what exactly makes me not really follow this tournament though (except when i'm extremely bored, like i'm now).

So I don't really get to know who is playing on a night until the games are actually starting if I miss a day.

I tuned in once, and both players in the game were not listed in the bracket, so I wasn't sure what the match was about. The commentators never explained. I tuned in about a week later, and it was the same match. So, needless to say, I was even more confused. I suppose I could really try to figure it out, but for some reason this tournament feels like it takes way more effort to "figure out" what's going on than other tournaments.

I can't follow the flow of the tournament either but tbh, I really enjoy the fact that I can pretty much tune in to the IPL channel at any time and see a good game, what with all the replays they're putting on. I don't have enough time to follow specific tournies anyway so this format works really well for me, it's almost like my SC2 channel! Easier access to the brackets would help following I guess. BTW great work so far on the content. Casters are all really good.

What makes it really hard for me to follow is the fact that the new tourney games are placed over the weekend while the filler content is in the middle of the week. This makes little sense in my eyes. Viewers are either looking for a regular show during the week (Mon - Thur) OR for a show on the weekend (Fri - Sun). The weekend is usually blocked by LAN tourneys so wouldn't it make sense for IPL to broadcast Monday through Thursday? If you place a summarizing show on the weekend, everyone is covered.

Suggestions: - Shorten tournament, don't stretch it out over months with filler days all over. - Invite better players (read: koreans), or not as many players (which would make the overall quality of the players better either way). -Less lag time. It is ridiculous that it takes you over a month to post-produce this content. The production has been fine on a whole, but for a month's worth of lag-time in post production I would expect it to be a ton better.

It's also unfair to criticize the IPL on the grounds that it doesn't have the "interest levels for example of a MLG or GSL" and doesn't have the same caliber of players as those tournaments. This is actually the first full-fledged IPL season (since season one was just a precursor) so obviously it's not going to have the same viewership as the two biggest SC2 leagues. And to the guy above me who implied that there are only 16 good non-koreans (the rest are "mediocre"), I hope you don't expect them to take your criticism seriously. I know it's the internet and all, but you have to realize that silly exaggerations aren't effective method of communication.

You should have capped the players at 16 or even lower if you are not going to invite koreans, a lot of these games are either not competitive or I don't give shit who wins because they don't have a prayer at winning the tournament. Me too. Just check this thread. Theres only 50 pages. This shows how much ppl are interested. Assembly, for example, has like three times the number of pages, and. so far, one day of tournament has been ran.
