why does grubby get invited again, no offence cool guy with nice wc3 history, sure, but it's pointless to invite him here. could easily fill the slot with a more deserving player.

We don't know what players applied so that's hard to say. He's definatly lower tier, but I wouldn't call him underserving.

I would love to see EG.iNcontroL be invited. He has stated on several occasions that he has never competed in a European Tournament. DreamHack would be, I think, a great tournament to introduce Geoff to the EU scene. :D

First off, I think any person who is invited is deserving.

Some reasons:
- SteelSeries is one of the Main Sponsors - Grubby has been/is (one of) the Main Steelseries spokesperson. He will probably do promotional stuff for Steelseries during the event.

- His fanbase is huge!

- Grubby's performance has been improving and as a fan of the underdog I love the "The struggle". Great players that are fighting mentally and physically to get back on top creates the best stories. That is why I love following the careers of cyber-athletes like Grubby, Tyler, iNcontroL BoXer and others who are publicly working/fighting hard to achieve greatness.

Not a single MyM player on the invite list yet :o

But really, there are 16 slots left, anyone worth mentioning is probably going to be invited to DreamHack.

Incontrol didn't apply. He said he would have loved to go but the dates clashed with something for his girlfriend. Miss America or something? Not sure.

He was one of the first to express his delight of going but unfortunatly as the post above me explain, he couldn't because of a scheduling conflict.

Casters are annoused for dreamhack

+ Show Spoiler +
Day[9] and Apollo returns to DreamHack to give world class commentary of the DreamHack SAPPHIRE AMD Championship in StarCraft II. The Official Shoutcasting-Duo is ready and settled for DreamHack Summer 2011 June 18-21.

As part of the DreamHack SAPPHIRE AMD Championship sponsored by SteelSeries, EIZO, SAPPHIRE and AMD we’re proud to announce the official commentators for the DreamHack Summer 2011.

Sean ”Day[9]” Plott and Shaun ”Apollo” Clark, the popular duo from DreamHack Winter 2010, returns to be official casters in the primary StarCraft II stream produced by DreamHack in co-operation with Day[9].TV and streamed live at Justin.TV. They will do the official commentary of the best matches in the group stage as well as the Playoffs including Semi Finals and Grand Final

Sean”Day [9]” Plott is a American player that went into shoutcasting after creating his own video show Day[9] Daily and hosted a live streamed 12-hour launch party for StarCraft II in Los Angeles. Day [9] is famous for his deep strategic analysis mixed with a personal, smart and funny approach to eSports. Day[9] is working with all the big leagues including ESL and MLG and we’re proud to welcome him back to Sweden one more time.

Shaun “Apollo” Clark is a British Zerg player with a long experience of strategy games – including a world champion title in Command&Conquer at WCG 2007. As part of Team Dignitas he mostly provides the community with private lessons and have done professional commentary for leagues like ESL, WCG and DreamHack. Apollo was selected as one of DreamHack’s main casters during 2011 and hosted the DreamHack Stockholm Invitational and will continue do that during all upcoming events this year.

All group stage and playoffs-matches will be broadcasted from a special StarCraft II-stage similar to last year. DreamHack will present details about the stage and also the featured matches
that Day[9 ]and Apollo will commentate.

Hopefully Mana gets an invite if he applied. He looked fantastic in EG Masters mouz vs. MYM, beating Mondragon and then SaSe (who beat ThorZain) in the ace match. He also beat ClouD recently in NASL, and although his record there is 2-4, his defeats are against Idra, Zenio, Boxer and Sen.
