We don't know how many americans even applied for an invite, so hard to say that dreamhack should have put more americans in the bracket.
I am not young enough to know everything.

We dont really know how many NA players applied. Liquid has attended EU touraments before, but we havent seen much of Root or the other mostly American teams. Just like theres only a few from the most well known teams in EU going to MLG, its not surprising that NA players dont flood EU tournies. Plane tickets are still expensive.

The reason why there isnt that many Americans in the main tournament is because there wasnt that many that applied that was up to par with what DreamHack wants. Simple as that.

Ah, didn't notice that someone already posted. Oh well, now there is a picture in the thread

Korea region might also entail players located in Korea like Huk, Jinro, Moonglade (?) and so on. Still, even if it's mostly Code A:ish players they bring it will be a high quality competition.

As people have stated above, the reason why EU > NA in the number of invites is probably 1) Less NA players applied for obvious reasons and 2) you could argue that there are slightly more good EU players out there.

As a side note, do you think Dreamhack have work out something similar as MLG concering sending players to GSL? Maybe that would have been announced by now but since there are so many Koreans going and the fact that the gsl seems to want to encourage more foreigners to try their luck in the gsl's maybe it's possible. At least winning dreamhack would fit the criteria for getting a direct seed into Code A.

^^If they applied I'd be shocked if they weren't chosen.

With region we mean where people come from. So HuK would be America and Jinro Europe

We do currently not have any deal with GOMtv similar to what MLG has.

The korean slice is consisting of people actually coming from Korea. "Real Koreans" that is.

It will be unfortunate if DreamHack's teaser image sparks an unrelated discussion about which region is better, let's just be excited and happy that DreamHack is going to be an event with hopefully the best players from each region.

Always Grubby =/ Wanting to see ToD someday. He has beaten Adel Scott on some french LANs which he won and also was #3 european ladder. Hopefully they'll invite him if he's wanting to play. Else i hope he can qualify. Also hoping to see SaSe compete.
