The only bad thing about that is that a ban from the chat room does not only prevent one from posting, but also from viewing chat. Some people really like viewing chat, and it is a privilege that shouldn't be taken away.

Extended series = Idra beat kiwi 3-0 earliar so Kiwi would have to beat Idra 6 times while Idra would have to beat Kiwi 3 times. Following which, if Kiwi wins, there would be another extension as it's double elimination as well.

Am I misunderstanding something or...? You've confused extended series with how EVERY double elimination finals works.

Am I misunderstanding something or...? I believe extended series refers to when, say since Idra beat KiwiKaki 2-0 before, then he would go into the finals with a 2-0 lead in a bo5 or 7 or w/e. On the other hand, if he had only beat KiwiKaki 2-1 or something then KiwiKaki would go into the bo7 down 2-1, etc. I believe it was MLG that uses extended series. It's kind of a wonky way of doing things, and it really seemed to bother a lot of people.

At this point, I'm starting to wonder how many other people who were anti-extended series are actually just anti-double elimination...
