My best guess is July coulda have tried to snipe the observer somehow, not really sure how he shoulda tried to hold it off, his burrow timing was delayed by like 10 seconds, he maybe could have ambushed anypros sentries, with burrow, thats a rough situation, im not sure spines woulda helped. I always try to react with a +1 carapace whenever i see taht early forge running, i think that may have helped.

There's a difference in deciding to Allin before the game even started and reacting to a hole in your opponents play by Allinning.

Who told you that anypro decided to all in before the game started tho? July went with a very greedy double fast expand, and anypro knew about the second FE, so it wasn't a blind all in.

Because toss allins are very good an easy to execute, and you can win just doing them like anypro, while zerg allins need better execution and more thought behind it.

And this, everyone, is what's known as "bias".

Many Toss all-ins are heavily reliant on sentry positioning and FF control, and though one might think that it's easy to have good FFs, it's really not. I've lost so many games trying to play like MC because my FFs and unit positioning were lacking.

Losira didn't cheese out a player who is obviously better than him. This the same reason why no one likes Rain. He cheesed Nestea out of a GSL with bunker rushes and marine scv all ins.

Ill never understand this argument. If July was so obviously better he would have won. END OF STORY. Anypro played better in game 3, get over it.

So your also saying that Rain is better than Nestea for beating him?

In that particular series, hell yes. As an overall player, no. You people keep crying that the better player lost, well maybe July IS the better player overall. However, in this series he was not. Anypro won fair and square with a superior build and execution in game 3. Only people who say otherwise are just balance whiners who cannot accept the fact their precious race or player lost. FYI I'm a zerg player, I just have common sense which a lot of you guys seem to lack.

That didn't look like an easy all-in to execute to me, Anypro set that up for a long time, with a lot of preparation and decent macro behind it. He made sure he had a sufficient probe count and stockpiled some money while getting upgrades, allocating chrono boost fairly well, and made sure he had the robo for the observer to deal with burrow, which was July's chosen defense. It's certainly a hell of a lot harder to execute than a 6 pool, 7 roach rush, or a 3 roach mass speedling all-in.

The issue is that what AnyPro did was not really difficult to do. Defending a 7 gate timing attack is MUCH harder than executing it.

I would agree...but I've never seen this build executed this perfectly before. His timing was immaculate. July's was not, so he lost.

If you don't understand the argument, you just don't understand the game.
It's not always the better player who wins in SC2.

Anyway, in this case it was just poor execution by July. He could have won this if he controlled his Roaches better.

Who told you that anypro decided to all in before the game started tho? July went with a very greedy double fast expand, and anypro knew about the second FE, so it wasn't a blind all in.

Double FE was obviously a reaction to Anypros forge FE. You basically have to double expand if you're not going allin to stay even with the Protoss. There's nothing greedy with it since both players were very vulnurable at the same time.

July's fault for engaging when forcefields were out.

Engage with those, or lose your roaches that are blocked.

Choose?

Burrow move the fuck out of there?

Then lose your Expo, and have less production, and economy than Anypro.

When he was backed up against that wall at July's 3rd, Anypro wasn't really in range to take out July's hatch quickly. If he had baited those forcefields, pulled out (sure you lose some roaches because of the obs but not that many) and waited until the FFs expire to engage, he would've faired much better.

There were TONS of FFs, he could put em back up later

*Note, I'm not saying Toss is OP, just saying why I feel July did what he did

That's why I'm saying you need to rinse and repeat. Keep baiting those FFs until he runs out. Sure you might lose your 3rd but you can run your drones away and the constant baiting will give July time to get more units out. Once the FFs are gone, move in and crush the army. Even if you had lost the 3rd hatch in the process, you can counter attack and do damage/contain.

This isn't a balance whine, but from a zerg point of view i'm not actually aware of what would stop that. Does he need hydras and spines...like a hydra roach army instead of zerglings?

I thought the flank would help but it was at a choke so it only cost i think 2 forcefields to block it...I think rushing hydras and maybe skipping burrow movement might help...not sure.

Good rush by anypro, more learning for zergs to do.

He should have roach+ling all-ined the Nexus first.

Haha, well I'm sure some P's will start doing this on ladder maybe I can figure out a way to beat it. Theres a post above saying if he just burrow moves out when the ff's go up he would win the fight, but I feel he would lose his hatch and drones...not sure that would be a good trade unless he wins the fight convincingly and keeps his supply up enough to just counter and win.

I am disgusted by amount of tears from Zerg players on LR threads. First it was funny, but lately it became just stupid. Go back to Idra fanclub and whine about everything that kills you.

And is there even a way for Protoss to win and not get flamed? Early game win = flame, mid game win = flame, late game win = flame... and then when some lovely Zerg player annihilates some Protoss with all kind of gimmicky strats that's all fine and justified.

I am not P player and I cheered for July but amount of scrubs who are trying to justify their Bronze leagues on LR topics is just too pathetic.

Only if July back off the roachs when there are FF blocking them ( there were only 2-3 roaches are trapped by FF in the 1st engagement before burrow movement is finished ), instead, he kept on fighting that..

I was going to say exactly that to support you, but you beat me to it. If a player beats another player in a series, the winner was the better player in that series. Overall, maybe not, but in that series, definitely. Otherwise, he wouldn't have won. Pretty obvious, though many people don't like admitting it.
