Just watching his games in sc2 you can see most of the qualities that made him an amazing player are gone - his micro isn't nearly as good, his game sense is almost non-existent and for such a new game his creativity should be shining through but its not. The only quality that has remained in tact is how agressive he is which I think other players can learn from but the rest is long gone. He is and always will be the Emperor but his day has passed. | ||

I thought Boxers TvT was gosu :/ and the SlayerS players seem to have brought some GSTL form into Code A which is nice to see. | ||

But without him, you wouldn't even be watching sc2 today. I don't care if you're not a fan of his play (which you should be because he's ridicujlously creative), just never forget that you wouldn't be watching sc2 without boxer. | ||

 Oh well, will look forward to watching his match (VOD) anyways  People expect too much from Boxer in my opinion, its been over 8 years now since he was a top player in BW not to mention the 2.5 years where he played very little Starcraft in comparison to other pros. The only quality that has remained in tact is how agressive he is which I think other players can learn from but the rest is long gone. He was still doing well up until 2005 -- you could say he was in a slump for a couple years, in which he was only an average performing player. But then he had to enter military as you know, til about 2009 -- in which of course, he would not be in top form having limited time to play in the military. But then in 2010 Starcraft 2 came out :D So anyways, perspectives differ of course, but I like to be optimistic and look at it only as really a 2 year slump from 2005-2007. Also disagree about the micro part. A lot of the times it seems it's not there, but sometimes in drops he still shows his amazing micro. Unfortunately they missed this in the HasuObs vs Boxer match in TSL3, in game 3. Boxer constantly harassed HasuObs from 1-3 places at once for what seemed to be at least a minute; in his 2 med drop into HasuObs' main, he displayed great micro, picking up marines/marauders to dodge Stalker fire much like his SiegeTank/Dropship vs Dragoon micro in SC1. I was really happy to see that, but unfortunately the observer only caught the very end of it -- but you could see him picking up 2 marauders (1 marauder 1 marine?) to dodge the fire from the Stalkers that apparently just died before the Observer got to the scene. | ||
