Zealot charge is also very good, with the cute initial zealot to take the first volley. Carriers also do VERY well vs vikings, not sure how many people have actually had direct experience destroying vikings with a carrier based gateway army, but it works out just fine. Looking at the stats and saying "well, on paper it doesn't work" is bad for the community. | ||

The same principles apply for collosi by the way, the difference is that carriers have insane single target damage, which comes in handy vs mech. The carrier will launch interceptors at 8 range I believe, but the interceptors will chase units out to a much larger range. I believe the carriers can close the 1 range while a shot is fired, but kiting can still be useful if done properly. | ||
