It's kind of sad about all the uproar; MC doesn't care about you, he cares about winning everything and being the best ![]() I agree Mr. PlasmaBall Agree. And I think MC did not gamble on his proxy 2BG decision. Shakuras Plateau is only 156x128, it's not a big map and in the final the start point is decided to be diagonal. The distance is like thte Steppes of War. I remember MC did some very good proxy BG fight when the Steppes of War was still in the map pool of GSL. I mean he was very confident of this kind of fight, even if White-ra found the gate or the pylon, he still have enough chance to win. IMO if it is not gambling, it is just another strategy. I love White-ra's personality and his great plays, but he did made some errors in the final. And I still love him even he lost. I enjoy watching MC's match because I wonder how perfect a protoss player can be, and how the other pro-players manage to win.

MC wasn't gambling very hard. His proxy 2gate had a better chance to win than his amazing 4gate which is why he opted for the 2gate. He knew that White-Ra was skipping the first zealot in 4 out of 4 of their games that day. White-Ra opened 1 gate core every game as well. The odds of White-Ra doing those two things again were really high. MC chose a build that perfectly counters it. Even if scouted, the pylon was deliberately put OUTSIDE the base so that probes would have to run the long way around to attack it. Gateways have tons of HP and MC was going to be able to chrono out zealots before White-Ra could kill the Gateways. At best, White-Ra would've seen it early enough to get a fast forge or 2nd gateway and try to micro it out. MC has better micro so he still would've had a chance.

(and yeah, kinda embarrassed me cause it took so long to find it) But over on the right there is a part 1, part 2, part 3 button to watch it. The first idra tlo game is in a seperate video, but all the rest of the tourney is in the one long video its just in 3 parts.
