(P.s I don't have a clue who 'lau' and 'gomas' are and I don't care) My point is there's such a huge pool of players from all of these colleges that it seems unfair on others. Yea rite...don't pretend like you don't know or care. So keen to eliminate competition. I suggest splitting the team into two teams then, so people feel like they have a chance.

I stick by my opinion that everyone in Britain is fucking terrible, and bad ... Even DeMuSLiM isn't anything special - not compared to any of the "best" EU players ... ¬_¬

The University of York also has 7 players and I don't see complaints directed at them like how their pool of talent is so big. People just want to play and this is our way of getting that chance without having to sit around being one of two or the only player in your uni that looks at this thread or wants to play. If people are hurting inside cause Lau and Gomas are in the same team then just say it. That's a different argument. I'm pretty sure you could get 3 SC2 players from places like UCL, LSE, it's not like they are small Unis in any way. After all, this is only a pretty casual SC2 tourny for University teams with no announced prize pool so when Lau and Gomas are on the same team despite going to different Unis it is retarded.

I 4 gated every game, playing Protoss, and abusing the fact 4 gate was overpowered until the Zealot nerf. A 60% win rate is nothing special: those players, albeit they may be very good, have relied on their s1 high MMR to secure their spot - and look at the games played for Lau, he's just massed games. May as well have a northern England team, a Scottish team, Wales and Ireland if thats allowed cause it is the only way you could compete with them, seeing as it is pretty much a southern England team...rather than a one university Right. Can we stop with all these dumb arguments please. They don't add anything new to the situation besides making people pissed off. London does not equate to the south of England, as much as Londoners such as myself like to think so. I'm sure the organisers know what they are doing and will make a call on what academic institutions are allowed to field teams. As a piece of advise, BUCS, which as an organisation probably knows the most about organising university competitions in this country, places all the London colleges as separate entities while Durham/Oxford/Cambridge/York are allowed to field combined teams. http://www.bucs.org.uk/fl/ Ultimately we want to see as many players play as possible and if this means some combined teams this is better than not having some enter. I think this is particularly relevant for 6th formers and other people still at school who wish to compete but might not have enough members for a team. Allowing them to represent their local university seems perfectly reasonable. I think combining the two universities in Manchester or Nottingham is rather iffy but like I said above, whatever the organisers feel is best :p

I've got a few buddies in Plat and Gold but they are all quite busy with exams as well... Mobius.357
