The UKUTL has opened signups for season two, however we are no longer called the UKUTL, and have since been rebranded to CSL:EU due to our partnership with the CSL info on how to register can be found in this thread - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=263557 at the bottom of the OP.
ESports in the UK is beginning to grow and I believe a way to help its expansion would be the introduction of more online tourniments to compliment our growing number of LANs and communities, such as UKStarcraft, also found on irc.quakenet.org #ukstarcraft.

NA already has their own take on this, and after browsing the forums I could not find anything similar so I decided to take it upon myself and set up a UK tournament open to university students. This is also open to colleges and 6th forms within the UK.

Donations and Prize pool:
The prize pool will be formed completely of donations this league is to receive. The winning team will receive a 70% cut of the final pool, while second receives a 30% cut.
The prizepool currently stands at £500
Dates:
The first games are to be played at 6PM BST (GMT+1) on Saturday 30th April. If you cannot make that day please refer to our rules page at http://utl.ukstarcraft.net/rules/

Great idea! We have previously had a thread regarding a UK university tournament in the Oxford Uni thread on TL. However this seems a good way to get the ball rolling 
I will be signing up a Aberdeen Uni team up soon, is there a limit on number of players? As judging from the format, more players = more wins = overall win? Nothing like a GSTL format?

There is no upper limit on players per team, there is only a 3 minimum so that if your team is to reach the semi-finals you will have a full squad to be able to play. There is also an all kill system, if you win a game, you will stay on untill defeated, at which point your team can decide on a player to compete.

I've ran several offline lans in the past (60+ Players), just because my TL.net account is not very old dosn't mean I cannot handle the work load runing a tournament entails..

dont get me wrong. I mean this could potentialy be the CSL for entire EU if you do it right. It just that there are a tons of stuff that you need to account for.
If i recall correctly CSL has at least 50 stafff running around just for divisions only. And across season 4 (still currently running), there were countless of times cheating were involve and banning was executed.
If you do it, make it big! else i dont think its worthed over all

Everything must start small, I help run all the ESL tournies so will offer a helping hand if this starts to get big and my help is required/wanted.

Just made a quick edit to the first post to make it easier for teams to find players - Team Roster (Minimum of 3 players, 2 of you have to be from the same University) in a Name.Code format.
