in-game chatting is now banned during sc2 tournaments. poker players are no longer able to make eye contact or talk to each other in case it throws other players off of their game. mma fighters are no longer able to give furrowed eyebrow looks of intimidation before or during rounds and must say gg before tapping out.

why are people being fgts? especially for idra of all people?

it stated in most every tournaments' rules in game chatting beyond 'gl hf, gg or pp' is not allowed. it should remain this way and rules should be respected and enforced.

but why? unless a good case actually comes up from harmless chatter, it's a stupid rule being rightfully ignored. if anything, rewrite the rule to be more specific. e.g. no unsportmanslike conduct or rude behavior. (which huk doesn't qualify for). otherwise, people are just being bitches and mad idra lost.

Why didn't they give us information? Why did they make us wait? Girl comes on says well continue in a moment, I wait for 2h? Thats custumerfriendly? They make EU stay up all night, why didn't they say: "dudes, we cant fix it... sorry!"?

Of cource they can fail, but MLG fails everytime, and it's just getting worse. I don't want to flame them, all I am saying is that I am really dissappointed.

MLG to me is not major in any way, and I think they have lost ALL of their scene-cred. If they want to have a good reputation, they will have to earn it someday.

And a final thing: Why do they manage it with HALO every time? They actually make me an Halo fan, if they continue like this!

after all this time sc2 is out, you still dont realise there is no lan-function in the game? wow thats epic

a bad senseless oneliner, great job! I will try to show you how to do better:

(2nd line) What has a lan-function to do with lag in a replay? How do you want to stream via LAN?

Please dude, shape up!

its pathetic how all you guys are always crying, yet never say something when it goes right. say something positive or dont say anything at all

Because remember, folks, blind positivism IS the way forward!
I'm not bad at Starcraft; I just think winning's rude.

I think i'm going to have to put this on every page but:

Vods (what little there are) will usually go up a little while after the event is over. Replays on the other hand are in the official brackets (under Match Info).

Refresh, or try a different browser, the script that it uses to load seem to break occasionally. Chrome seems pretty good in that regard.

They were like 5-10 or something. That's not bad. They suffer from increased expectations because they obviously have the most visibility to we TL posters. But it's not like it's a team of superstars. Solid players with potential sure, but besides Jinro and TLO- nothing eyebrow-raising if they didn't have the 'liquid' tag.

I like liquid.tyler a lot. I am sure that he will be among the toplevel no matter what! He prepares great, but has problems in these huge quick tournaments, where he can not prepare for his next opponent.

I don't think that you should count him out.

Ret, and Hay I don't know.

(and to be honest i'd say tyler>tlo)

I know that TLO hasn't done a lot lately, but niether has Tyler.
Lee Jae Dong proved that a focus on mechanics and execution could solve problems in the StarCraft game strategy.

Other tournaments have lag spikes and disconnects, the only thing that's different from other tournaments is that MLG gets way more viewers. Admittedly their fault for continuously underestimating the scale of the Starcraft community, but at least the players wouldn't be dependant on the same connection that the streams use if LAN was implemented.

In a certain way these kind of fails and the following wave of complaints ensure that things get better in the future. As such I think it's a good idea to use that momentum to adress other prominent issues that are as ridiculous as MLG's fail today, like the absence of LAN/ lagfree environment for a game that supposedly caters to eSPorts. MLG deserves flak for their lack of organisation, but laggy games and disconnects would still exist if their shit was sorted out properly and that's only to blame on Blizzards' lack of support for SC2 and eSports overall.
I think esports is pretty nice.

Possibly, but TLO is "eyebrow-raising" for other reasons.

For a player known for his BM, "tellin' it like it iz!" he sure has a very fragile ego and is easy to put on tilt.

Huk exploited that really well

People just tend to see the potential and raw talent with Tyler and overlook current form/training. It also helps that he's a charismatic fellow oozing cool. I have no doubt that he can be one of the best in the world if he really clamped down and practiced but his motivation and discipline has always been a question mark. In my opinion, he just doesn't have that much fun playing SC2 and therefore doesn't train as hard as he could/should.

Of course, I could be way off the mark here and maybe he couldn't practice much because of schoolwork or he was just having an off day. Only Tyler knows.

yes but they fix the problem and get going inside 10minutes. they let you know whats happening because the stream works. All matches are available to watch within a few hours, how many mlg matches are available? how many have even been streamed live?

i have bought gom season tickets and the service has been superb. to even try and justify MLG by using the odd disconnect is laughable.

GSL is so far ahead of MLG in every single way it is not even funny. I dont care for your fancy setups and flashy adverts, I want quality sc2 that i can watch. MLG do not provide that.

Oh and please, dont use the " more viewers on mlg" . A organisation will know with even a little market research how many potential viewers they will get in a best and worst case senario and how to provide for it.
