and of course, yes lan mode would fix this problem, but blizzard doesn't want to be seen as weak and cave to any demands. Much like the government refuses to negotiate with terrorists, blizzard refuses to negotiate with its customers. In all seriousness it does astonish me that blizz hasn't resolved these problems either by giving MLG lan mode, or bringing some bnet servers in semi trucks to the events like they did for WoW Arena. Dream hack had an interesting way of guaranteeing bandwidth, but its not practical for MLG to do the same thing since they move around every time and the cost of getting a dedicated line to somewhere they know wouldn't have routing issues to the Bnet Servers for each of the venues is simply too high. The only reason DreamHack could do it is because they knew there were making a serious infrastructure investment that they will continue to use at every DreamHack from now on. At the end of the day Blizzard is the only party that could realistically take action to resolve these issues.

They have to pay that rate for a contract period... For MLG is it worth it to buy a giant pipe and pay several thousands of dollars a month and then might not use it at all? Again it sucks, but it really is a fine line of what the hell do you do.... It's sucks for us, it sucks for MLG. But it's not an easy fix either, they are probably on the call with their ISP and trying to get something worked out, but in the end they probably don't have a big enough pipe to their site. I would love to see the utilization charts on their main routers, I bet it's 100%.. For them to pay to have that increased when they only use that site for a weekend isn't worth it.... It is called an investment, and It would be well worth it as long as they make profit after paying overhead costs and what not, it seems they sold a LOT of season tickets, so chances are the cost would make up the means, and who says they can't host two events in the same city int he year and bring in even more money?

In the sense that it was being used on the MLG forum, a dispute would be with your credit card company / paypal to have the funds payed for something refunded because a service was not provided. The CEO of MLG flat out told me the term was not being filtered, and that people were typing asteriks to troll. Upon trying it for myself, It was filtered. So, basically, he flat out lied to a customer in a public forum.

I mean this has been a disaster, JP and djWheat were getting quite... annoying, but they still held it together for aslong as anyone could expect. This whole disaster is probably worst for them, then the players and then us. I wonder if they truly want to be associated with such events in the future... With these kind of messes... it surely isn't helping esports nor their image.

The guy just picked the latest tweet from Sunny. LET IT GO, MLG is not singeling out SC2 stuff happens, move on if it upsets you. Life is too freaking short to cry about every thing. This MLG is a terrible experience for you? Fine, fair enough, do not buy or watch MLG again. Complaining on a message board about things that the organizers know is messed up and are trying as hard as they possibly can to fix is just silly. Actually, it's not silly at all. The complaints of the community (as long as they are valid) are what forces an organization to fix their errors and try damn hard to avoid them in the future. Our feedback is important to them, even if at the moment its overwhelmingly negative.
