Yea if white ra defensive 4 gates he holds san and comes out ahead no problem. The fact that he held in the second game from a much worse position/opening is a testament to this fact.
The reason korea is 4 gate vs 4 gate in pvp isn't because they're brainless. It's because from the thousands and thousands of games they've played pvp, they've come to the conclusion that it is the required most solid opening if you ever want to get to a midgame. The 3 stalker rush build thats designed to counter 4 gate doesn't even counter it that well especially vs a tricky/smart player.
If you're a very strong mid-late game player, just defensive 4 gate and transition and you'll be back in your comfort zone.

Well, also that he flies to Korea and his opponent didn't care about showing good games whereas he did. It's a competition with a lot of money on the line though, so you can't really blame him.

If you are a toss, and you are not satisfied with current 4gates situation, then you should also always do 4gates. If every toss do this, every pvp game is 4gates vs 4gates, then definitely blizzard will change this.
If you try to play a long game, occasionally you will win some games. Then Blizzard will have excuse not to change this.

Wooo.....Dimaga is great guys,but he's not the best ZvZ in the world. Nestea still is, even though the Ukrainian played very well today. As of White Ra, he lost in game 3 pretty heavily. Defending 4 Gates has to be in your curriculum as a Protoss, if you can't deal with it, it's not gonna go well for you.
I don't understand why Dimaga would insult San on the low in Russian as well. Dudes needs to stay classy.

Every tournament is a coin-flip tournament as protoss because of the risk of getting a PvP. It's frustrating enough on ladder but when these kinds of money are on the line it's obviously a lot more frustrating.

4 gate in PvP is incredibly super standard
if Blizzard were to attempt to do something to make 4 gate a sub optimal build in PvP, it would probably be some adjustment to the warp gate mechanic (probably research time). I think most Protoss would prefer to keep the warp gate mechanic as it is now and deal with PvP 4 gate fests than have Blizzard adjust the warp gate mechanic and greatly alter how Protoss is played as a race in all matchups.

We still will be able to see some excellent White_Ra play in his vs Bomber showmatch. Also I hope he will play his TSL matches in Korea, so he and MC will have zero lags.
I am sure the second day is gonna be even more epic. (I even can dare hope that Morrow will somehow beat MC).
