So excited to see the individual matches start tonight.

I think the Koreans are in for a big surprise.

I think tommorow we'll see just how close we are with the koreans because of the tourny style. Anyone can win a bo1 though not taking any credit away to the guys.

During Dimaga/July I said to my buddy "if Dimaga wins this he's going to baneling bust MVP." Imagine my surprise when he plays a drawn out macro game, but then...

I'm pretty happy with the World team's results, I think that if Korea lost, it might cause them to discount SC2 as a competitive sequel. Also after an all-nighter I thought that if Artosis said in the final interview "EVEN A GOD--KING CAN BLEED!!" it would be hilarious. Oh sleep deprivation...

So wish I could have seen that. Should add a little intrigue when MC and White Ra meet in the Ro16 of TSL 3. White Ra Fightiiinng

I love that there are still diehard Korea fanboys who hate to be wrong so much that they're claiming that anything can happen in a Bo1.

Despite the fact that it was a Bo15.

I think the best example is: If the GSL Finals Season 2 was a BO3, NesTea would have lost to MKP. Because it was BO5 though, NesTea was able to adapt, and learn to defend it, where MKP lost because he didn't know how to adopt or play a different style.

MKP lost because he was in choke, not cuz he didn't know how to adapt lol.
Dimaga vs MVP shows that it's really really hard to win as terran.

It was Bo7. MKP would win if it was Bo3 or Bo5 ( he had 2:0 and 3:2 lead).

July must have been on a tear... took out 4 people who could very well have beat him. Saved it for his team.

lol srsly ? JulyZerg, the second best last GSL, was supposed to stomp the like of glade/huk and have great chance against WhiteRa/Jinro/Dimaga. And in fact he did it convincingly, only lost a close fight to dimaga. Do u think any of them could match July in term of starsense, mindgame, aggression, strategic play ?

Was HuK not born in America? I seem to recall the commentators at MLG DC saying he was born in America and lived there until he was 15-16 and then moved to Canada? I've been wondering if this was true since I heard it.

The dude name is Chris loranger, the frenchest of family name. Gimme a break. He could be born in Mississippi and he'd still be Canadian regardless. It's like Select. He's not American...he goes to school in America...

Wait, what? If HuK was born and raised in the US, you'd still consider him Canadian? (not saying he was, just in theory)

Nearly all Americans came from some other country and just migrated here, unless they're of Native American descent. I'm asian but was born & raised here, so I'm American, that's just how it works.

Select is a different story, of course

My great grand father was born in Maine, and he never though of himself as an American because he's of French Canadian descent. His parents probably were born in Canada, went to the States to work and came back at some point.

...in fact i dont even know why im theorizing about his origins, but the fact of the matter is that he is always said to be Canadian. I guess there's a reason...

Thank you, GOMTV, for adding this to your schedule and teamleague, of course. I love team format, since BW, better than the individual format. Looking forward to the next GSTL, and maybe another World vs. Korea.

Can't help but feel the foreigners chances of winning go down when it's not a bo1. Don't think they will be nearly as successful.

What I find awesome, is that there could have been only 8 or 10 matchs or something, and we got the maximum amount of matchs : 15. That was an absolutely great series, great show from the WorldTeam and the KoreaTeam. Hats up to White-Ra, Dimaga, Sen, TT1, July, Nestea !

Let's see how the RO16 turns out. I'm kinda worried about Dimaga/Nesta and WhiteRa/MC (yes, even though WhiteRa won MC).

Edit : And i think it's great that there is the same number of Foreigner VS Foreigner and Korean VS Korean in the RO16, only one of each. This turned out quite good

Next time, we could get maybe something like USA vs Europe vs Korea vs Rest of the world. After todays matches it not only looks doable, but it could be pretty close. Although Artosis would probably have to coach everyone except the Koreans

Can anyone tell me why Jinro was on 3 base yet only had 1 siege tank?...

This just seemed like Jinro played below standards.... mutas did way too much damage, letting zerglings into his base, late siege tanks.. o_0

He was greedy because July was greedy. However, he got surprised by mutas and then failed to prepare for incoming July all-in.

Jinro should not have been wasted on July, nor HuK/mOOnGLaDe, especially when Dimaga had a good chance. Much rather have HuK/mOOnGLaDe all-in MVP/NesTea than to risk wasting them on the best all-in player ever.

I also heard that July likes to all - in a lot when he is maxed , Jinro should have seen it coming .

Anyway i'm proud of both July and team world . And don't stop hating on July please that way it's more interesting to follow him until his retirement .
