Ya it's really "refreshing" when someone cries after they lose a game they deserved to lose.

Just watched Idra v Cruncher, can't believe Idra made 7 drones after Cruncher pushed out. Really expected better decision making from him than that. A few more roaches and he might have held. Disappointing to see him out.

It's completely debatable whether IdrA deserved to lose those games. Of course, you could say that because he lost, he deserved to lose, but that just creates cyclical logic. Judging on Game 2, I would say IdrA has a much higher skill level, or Cruncher had some really bad game, which it didn't seem like he would based on his performance in Game 3.

Wow i can't believe this round haha! Completely screwed up my bracket competition; I had this sick feeling that Cruncher would win today; after all that smack talking he had it coming.. Must be such an amazing feeling for Cruncher! I could never have bet on Cruncher, but man just sensed it coming..
Complete let down that NaDa and TLO had to meet in the Ro32; both are so amazing, and that one had to go down so early is so annoying.. Was awesome to see TLO pull out the MVP "battlecruisers > all" play.. I just hate to think if he hadn't tried the gimmicky ghost play in the first game if the he would have had a better chance. But then he wouldn't be TLO - the craziest guy around!

Read your what you just said out loud. Really. Now think about your word choice and what you are trying to say.
The release of negative emotion after a tough loss does show passion.

Ok I'll agree that he does have a higher skill level, there really is no doubt in that. I'm not one to judge his play either as my skill level is much lower, but I believe that in the first game there were probably a lot of opportunities for him to do some major harassment to slow the toss down instead of trying to take every expansion on the map and building a 100/200 army with 100 drones.
P.S I know he didn't have 100 drones but you get my point hopefully. It just seemed like instead of engaging he just let Cruncher build up a 200/200 toss deathball.

Regardless of opinions on CrunCher, I'm just happy to see IdrA get taken down so hardcore after being such a douche in his interview. (And forever)

The rule in TSL is that you have to inform your opponent what race you're playing for the series, but you can change from series to series.

That is actually quite interesting. Thanks for the breakdown!

Do they release replays from these matches by any chance?

The way protoss gets 3 bases on Shakuras really inhibits Zerg's ability do do anything about it. Which is why the map is now changed.

No replays, but VODs should be up tomorrow.
Re: TLO's ghost play, I've seen him have a lot of success with it. If the SCV doesn't just barely see it coming, the bunker doesn't go up and TLO does a *TON* of damage. Or if the opening is tanks rather than banshee, etc., etc. I thought that was fine, but such a late factory/starport in the third game was very risky IMO. That's the only game that disappointed me.

Holy shit Mondi won! That's awesome, what an absolute hero

Congratz to Mondragon ! nice play by TLO, respect !

For the record, I don't think too many people have been saying the IdrA isn't bad mannered, they are simply saying that Cruncher is ALSO bad mannered. Cruncher deserved to win, even if his style was frustrating to watch. IdrA I personally think is the better player but the skill gap at the highest level is never as high as people seem to think. You don't get to the TSL or any of these other tournaments without being a superb player.

That quite possibly is the dumbest thing I've read in this thread thus far. You really are grasping at straws aren't you? Idra made some unfortunate choices. Those choices caused him to lose games one and three. Therefore, he deserved to lose.
"Skill level" is purely subjective. Objective? The outcome.

It shows immaturity. Say a few canned words, be polite, get out and let your frustration out in private like a man instead of whining to the whole world like a baby.
I really don't feel anything for Idra except pity these days. He was nothing special in Brood War and he's nothing special now in StarCraft 2 even though he had a decent start. Being rude and bad mannered when you're not the best only makes you look pathetic, not confident or cocky.
