It doesn't only effect your reaction speed, it also effects your overall gameplay unless you're used to it. It's really hard to play in the same mindset as when you play lagless simply because you're not used to it, you can really get screwed over in general, not just reaction time... Just look at the level of play "top" koreans have brought so far. They played bad, no where near their level in GSL... Maybe they should have practiced.

I was sort of fearing qxc was throwing the game there, after defending the 2base all-in, not emping the phoenixes, he lost a lot more than he should have. Good job hanging in there though.
I assume all games are on the US server again? QXC being in Europe and all. So sort of equal latency, 100-150 range for both. Sounds fair to me.

I want to see the Korean reaction to the amazing foreigner play. Someone go on the K-SC2 community sites and do some translating
|
they just play timing push oriented style while foreigners are great and win
|
Koreans must be thinking they're so much better than foreigners that they don't even need to upgrade lol
this was evident in the Adelscott/MVP series, and it was quite clear that was the case in that first game with qxc/Genius
|
man that lag for genius , he couldnt even click on upgrades for his army or type B, N for his nexii coz of that lag, no wonder he lost...
|
Wonder how the lag issue will affect NASL now .

CAN PEOPLE PLEASE STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THE KOREANS!!!

This has truth to it. I play BW still and when it's put on "very high latency" the response time is ridiculous. Having my units and probes not do what I tell them to is frustrating and really affects my play, including small stuff like expanding and getting upgrades.

So these games will be played on NA as well. I'm sorry but there's no legit way I could see this sort of result in a lag-free environment. Might seem like a rant, but I just don't like seeing an unfair result that changes the whole premise of a tournament, it all sorts of loses meaning. Oh well, at least Idra is in the US now.
Sorry but that QXC vs Genius game couldn't be considered lag. He out macroed, out harassed and out upgraded his opponent. Its kind of depressing to see how unsupportive the foreigner community is too it's players... Get behind them and let them know, you appreciate their hardwork instead of making excuses.

Until MVP won his GSL he was just a good player in everyone's eyes. Then 2 weeks later OMG HE'S THE BEST EVER HE IS UNDEFEATABLE. Then people are surprised when he isn't literally invulnerable. He won a GSL, it doesn't make him Flash. MVP was at the top of the Korean Ladder for a long time, while being hyped by Tastosis. Please to inform yourself before posts. He's not unbeatable, but the hype was pretty justified. Don't misinterpret, I'm not saying he's not a great player. But being at the top of the ladder is not exactly an indicator of incredible skill, 90% of the top players on the KR ladder are unknowns as the pros play mostly customs.
What, where did this absurd stat come from, have you even looked at the korean ladder? The top 50 on the Korean ladder are dominated by the players in GSL S and A, you sir are a fucking moron.

What happened to TL? I mean, the site was always a little elitist but all of you are just being huge douchebags to koreans for no reason.
