Would people be so adamant that the lag was the reason MVP lost if he was beaten by a US player? :d

either way lag or not Adel played well.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Adelscott Fighting!!!!!

lol it isn't switching to EU and NA (by the far the worse server), but it is certainly more equal now than it was in BW. Korean's are certainly recognizing the force of foreigners the hard way, though.

I play regularly from korea on us server. There is little to no lag.

I believe it's different since the earthquake.

This game is ridiculous. Seriously. Adelscott with the worst macro and wins. It's fucking ridiculous.

Uhhhhh, how is his macro bad? His money stays low and he gets ahead economically of Mvp......

His money was regularly over 1k after the first major battles in both games.

I guess I didn't notice that, but adelscott got a third soooooo much quicker than Mvp that his army was still equal size. Maybe Adel's macro isn't perfect, but Mvp's economic and overall decisions were worse in that game.

A thing that some people are not realizing is that, the lag doesn't only delay your reactions/micro etc.

But it messes with your head as well, which may lead to making poor decisions/strategy. If someone is not used to playing with lag, then they are going to play badly strategy wise compared to normal, may it be from focusing on other things, or feeling at an unreal disadvantage all game.

Take this rubbish out of the LR thread and make your own thread about how SC2 should always have the players we think should win win and if that doesn't happen there must be some sinister reason behind. We don't need this trash in here.

People miss the fact that it's not JUST the fact that he's lagging, but that it is also very demoralizing on your play...especially when you haven't experienced it before. Just think of any game you ever played where you were lagging...you'd be frustrated and make mistakes as well.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

For everyone complaining about lag, they played on the Korean server then the European server. So how is that unfair? Adel just outplayed MVP fair and square.

they pladed on NA

Pretty sure it was KR/EU/KR for sets 1/2/3. At least according to reveal by SotG a while back.

Get fast +1/+1 upgrades qxc! Gogogo!

Edit: Also if the population is equal but Genius has more workers, an army advantage. A frontal assault may have been better.

MVP did NOT lose his marine due to lag, he wasn't looking at it. The marine didn't even try to run away or anything even after he was surrounded, he never issued the order for the marine to retreat.

You guys that believe this was a legit win are the same as this chap here, that thinks MVP's multitasking is the same as a silver leaguer, prolly explain why he was able to take a game off of FlaSh.

I actually just tested the ping from us(michigan where l live) to both kr.battle.net and eu.battle.net, it ends up like the ping from us to kr is about 400ms and from us to eu is about 160ms.

KR->US lag is provably significantly worse than EU->US lag.

Aren't they playing on KR/EU/KR? I didn't catch the first game, but what's MVP's excuse for losing there? Technically lag should play into his favor, as two of the sets are in his advantage due to him being the higher seed.

no they say it like 32532 times that kr vs eu is on na

If MVP lost because of lag, how come MC had an easy time against Ciara? If lag was a factor then MC surely would've lost. If I remember correctly, in game 2, MC still had impeccable force field placement despite the "lag" that people are complaining about.

Because Ciara played so terrible. He couldn't even hold off a 3gate expand pressure and MC rolled him.

Morrow and Dimaga in that position would've.

Ciara lost because of the lag ...

No, I think people expect Mvp to be the best terran in the world, but he's been playing really poor lateley

I'd love to see Adell going 15 expand vs T in GSL or any other offline tourney.

He'd get slapped back to his seat by any 2 rax.

He was clearly relying on micro being hard with the latency.
