Everyone whining about the earthquake making the lag worse, which prob is bs anyways.

Weren't all tsl games played around the same time which I think would have been before the earthquake?

If MVP lost because of lag, how come MC had an easy time against Ciara? If lag was a factor then MC surely would've lost. If I remember correctly, in game 2, MC still had impeccable force field placement despite the "lag" that people are complaining about.

Because Ciara played so terrible. He couldn't even hold off a 3gate expand pressure and MC rolled him.

Morrow and Dimaga in that position would've.

Well you're right, Ciara played terrible. Still, my point is that MC had no problem with his FFs despite the "lag" that people claim that handicapped MVP so badly.

Remember, guys: Ciara lost to MC due to skill, and BoxeR beat NightEnd due to skill.

But the other Koreans lost due to lag.

Some people can overcome it, some can't. The latter can be described as 'playing worse.'

Manners, we are commenting the games: "MVP has 1 rine and 1 reaper while Adelscott has only probes, both die to probes." When did you last see probes catch reapers without lag?

To all complaining about the lag, remember it was the same for both players.

AdelScott probably play on the NA server alot for tournaments etc so he practises with it.
MVP only play on the Korean server with 0 lag.

How is that the same for both players?

Still the same condition for both player. Nothing is stopping MVP from playing on the NA server, so that's not sufice as an excuse

you misread that comment, it was actually saying
adel = MANLY CHEWING ON 1000MS DELAY FOR BREAKFAST
mvp = a macro oriented player who enjoys sc2, flowers and is actively promoting world peace

Exactly

know little about sc - woo woo
more knowledgeable - wtf?!

this exactly. if you were actually impressed by adelscotts play.. ugh.

he basically just took corner-cutting expansions relying on the fact that MVP wouldn't attack before getting a big army because microing is impossible.

Guys just STFU about MVP having 2 second delays , I think you have no idea about what are you talking about. With 2 second delays you wouldnt be friggin able to do 50% of the gameplay MVP proved he can do.
Yes, lag probably made it hard for MVP to micro, but it wasnt fucking micro that won Adel that game.
It was decisions, and throwing MVP off with that upg heavy style.
GET OVER IT PLEASE AND ENJOY THE TSL3

To those QQing about lag:

1) MvP's unit combination was just not sufficient.
2) for some of game 2 and almost all of game 1, Adelscott was at a MACRO advantage
3) just because Adelscott is used to the lag from EU-NA does not mean that it is unfair for MvP: Adel just took time to play on lag settings for practice, and if MvP did the same, he would be fine too. I can't make a statement about comparing lag from EU>NA and KR>NA, though, but guys:

If a foreigner loses, you attribute it to Korean skill
If a foreigner wins, you attribute it to lag.

While this may or may not be the case, you are being a little bland in your judgment. So many other factors affect game strength, such as sleepiness, fatigue, focus, unit composition, etc. To give the foreigners no credit for a unique unit comp or thought process or to downplay the koreans for MAKING MISTAKES, as any human is prone to do, is simply unfair.

ok, I talked to both koreans and european players about the lag issue.
there is almost no lag for EU players playing on the NA server, but Koreans actually have alot more latency than it seems they have.

two days ago, I tried to play with my korean friend on the NA server for 2s.
he was complainin alot about lag, he's forcefield went down like 1.5sec after he actually put it down

Also, in oGsMC's interview for TSL, he mentioned he went for colossi+void ray just to 1a, because he couldn't micro vs Ciara. Also, boxer and his gf mentioned about lag.

Guys you are talking about delay in seconds.... Let me put it into perspective.

When I was in Korea, ping to NA was 310-410 ms.

Accordingly to someone close to me in korea, since the japan earthquake its now almost double that.

I dont know what the seconds delay or whatever would be... I guess it would depend. But i'd say it effects those micro based players.

Not taking anything away from Adelscott's win. He played amazing. But the quotes from Ddoro and FXOpen is definitely food for thought.
