Oh god, the patch is going to make this hilarious; everyone's timings will be totally fucked.
But slightly less than perfect games are the best games.
Sets that will make me a happy nerd MVP vs MMA - Typhon Peaks. Typhon is a divisive map in the ladder, but it certainly makes for for amazing TvTs.
Losira vs Min - Tal'Darim Altar. Two great Zergs. Two different styles. Nestea vs Min would also be baller, but Losira/Min has better contrast. I also want to see who notices how different ZvZ is now.
While the patch benefits IM long run, I think Cella is more likely to have had people practice for in case the patch came out in Korea.
I'd really like to see MVP vs Alicia or Ryung since Alicia took out MVP in the up/down matches and Ryung has sick TvT. MMA vs Nestea could be a great game as well.
SlayerS has been very, VERY impressive this tourney, we already knew that IM was insanely good. SlayerS is showing that they're here to stay though, I'm very excited to see these finals.
They're going to be ridiculously good! So many people that I love on both sides, I can't decide! Mvp, Nestea, Losira, Alicia, Min, MMA, Ryung? I want them all to win!
Alicia may be hurt by the patch, but honestly he's more of a Colossus/Phoenix/DT player I think, so he'll be fine. None of these teams are THAT reliant on Protoss, especially not Kyderian Amulet Toss. They'll both be fine.
Actually the slower stim/bunker timing might throw off several of the Terran on both teams. Not so much Mvp, but there were several people in this GSTL that set up a VERY quick multi-rax + instant stim timing and push for the win. I don't remember if that was people on IM or SlayerS, but that style is going to be much worse comparatively to the seige tank/marine style that other Terran go.
Also I think the patch will affect TvZ the most. Slower bunkers AND slower stim vs. better infestors? Good luck stopping the Zerg from turning it into a split map macro game (not every Terran tries to stop that from happening, but a lot do). Also on the other end of the spectrum, good luck stopping baneling busts (think Jinro vs. Morrow in the TSL).
I'm really rooting for SlayerS. They have such a good team mentality, and BoxeR has hand picked these guys and groomed them into great players. Cella has been an amazing coach during these matches. I really hope they can pull the upset and take down IM.
Gotta root for the underdogs SlayerS. No one expected them to get this far and because its Boxer's team the success makes it seem that much sweeter. Plus I like seeing future big players such as Ryung, MMA and possibly Min.
I truely hope SlayerS win this they have played brillantly this season but the IM line up seems way too good, they have 3 Ace players who could win GSL, MVP, Lorisa, NesTea, I doubt MMA and Alicia could kill all 3 of them and NesTea has a near perfect record against Protoss and a perfect record of never dropping a game to Zerg.
